Thanks Slowhawk.. This one was actually tuned in CT when I made the trip there due to a dealer messing up my car. The shop actually straightened the problems out with the car and the tune felt great performance wise and runs strong. I did not tell them while I was there nor did they ask if my state has emissions testing. After i told then that I failed I was them told that I needed a different tune to pass emissions and that's where the hang up has been. Do you think possibly because it was tuned with an SCT and not HP or EFI Live?

I do not know how SCT tunes. I know HPT and EFI live can tune it to pass.
If SCT has problems tuning correctly to pass, I see no reason to use it.

If all else fails I can tune it to pass but I'm sure there are other tuners closer to you.

I appreciate that offer... MA is a long way away from me though.. Hopefully the tune I have in it now will reset all the readiness monitors. All but the catalyst and 02 sensors have reset after about 200+ miles and hopefully the other 2 will reset as well. I wished there was a way to speed up the reset process so I don't have to keep driving it so far each time plus the gas gets expensive at $4.10 a gallon.

If you have any ideas please pass them along and thanks again for your offer and help.

Same as I said in the other post. If you dont have any suggestions or nice things to say then do not posts any smartass comments. I make good money but that does not mean I want to throw it around without trying everything I can first.

you are the one throwing money away right now,, how many wasted miles have you put on 400+,, come on,, something should tell you that its not right. several people have told you how to fix your problem. we are not trying to be rude or bash anyone,, just stating the facts and what you need to do for a permanent fix. hp tuners credits to tune your car are only $100,, just go on their site and find someone near you to fix the codes, pay them $100 and something for their time. you probly already spent more on fuel than that!

Like I stated in the other post....
You state $100 for the credit and pay them for their time, but all that have responded want $300 - $600 for this + I would have about $100 in fuel and possibly hotel expense so it's not as cheap as you make it sound. Believe me I wish this problem did not exist.I have been doing this after I was sent a new tune. I am now on tune 5 for the emissions. There is no reputable performance shop within 250 miles from me so it's no like I can just drive down the street to get one. I have been working with my tuner and taking suggestions but if it's the monitors are not reset by the end of the week then I have to plan some days off to get it done. I run a large department and I just can't take off and leave on a whelm. You are correct I have wasted a ton of money on fuel, but I was listening to the tuner that tuned my car and I was trying to get it done without spending any more money at this time since I just paid for the tune in March along with several other mods.

Sorry to hear about your problems getting to a tuner.Wish I knew someone close to you.

If you find someone close that has EFI live, you can just send me a copy of the tune and I'll make the adjustments to make it pass with no driving time needed.

They use those alot on Dodges because you can't tune header cars to pass. They work 30-40% of the time. We are lucky enough to be able to tune the GM cars to pass though.

So, will changing the codes to 'No Error Reported' still pass the Readyness Test or does the closed loop min switching voltage need to be lowered?

they will read pass when set this way, your not changing the voltage parameters at all, just setting it to no error reported

Those are kinda cool. I've only seen the antifoulers used before.

Good luck Ray2SS; I'm watching this closely because I was planning on headers next month too. Its a shame the SCT can't seem to tune the same way as others. I move around a lot so I want a setup that'll pass in as many states as possible. Most places do OBDII scanning or nothing so that covers me for the most part.
