Didn't comment in other thread but since this is an opinion poll, I'll post.

Looks are personal but I don't get it. Top down, I want nothing but open air over me.

It also reminds me of the Cobra Mustangs from a few years ago that had them from the factory though they may have been truly roll bars.

Why do this if it does not offer any roll over protection. Is anyone making an actual roll bar for the convetibles yet?

Modawg, +1. I don't want to have a shadow on me or the dash when the sun's at my back.

IMO, it's too much a copycat of the old Shelby look. And WE don't want that...

I had one on my 02 Trans Am, my grandparents bought the car for me when I graduated from college. My Dad was an engineer at GM and he insisted we add the bar. He knew somebody that had rolled on and they think it saved the families life, even with a baby in the back seat. They tested the steel inside and couldn't call it a roll bar cause of all the damn lawyers around. I just liked the look of it, and that CLassic company has a good rep. Can't wait til my vert arrives supposed to be on June 6th. Love the vert camaro, such awesome car

i WENT to these guys website; they also make the FireBreather. I got to see that car in Vegas at the SEMA show last year. I even got a ride in one that Top Gear was using as a taxi cab. I was amazed at how well everything fit on this car. I met a bunch of the guys at a Falken tire party and they were very chill, not cocky but real car guys. They charge like $95,000 for those FireBreathers but damn it is sick. I have a coupe and now that summer is here I think I need a rag top for the summer.
I think I have one of the the guys cards from the company in my office; if I can find it; I will call them and ask them some more questions. I think a seude wrap would be put me over the top. IMHO I think the bar makes the rag top look finished and I like the lines that they used. 3 thumbs up

Looks good, I really like the appearance from the outside, not crazy about the possibility of a shadow though, that's why I bought a vert- unobstructed view of the sky while driving... gotta think about it awhile

Great to see the posts! I had the pleasure of driving the first Sport Bar ride back to the dealer in Detroit on Friday. From the inside, I does not take away from the view above or in the rear view. We have quite a few more to do this week so look for more pictures and video. If anyone has any specific views they want to see we will be happy to share what we have. I just wish that everyone could see how much engineering we put into our mounting system and the sport bar itself. We have been at this since 1990 and take a ton of pride in the fact that these go in perfectly the first time and deliver on years of pride in ownership. Thanks again for your input, and keep an eye on our Facebook page, and website as we have a few 5th gen surprises yet to come. Also stay tuned for our FireBreather convertible.

Anybody in metro Detroit, come see us on 9 Mile, we can show you in person what we do! We have a 50,000 square foot facility dedicated to perfecting American Muscle Cars!

Man, do I feel old.....

I ordered the Revolution Sports Bar. I like the fact that it is more squared off and has the matching leather/vinyl and stitching over the bar. The CDC bar is nice though.... good luck with the sales!
