On another note...we have a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L as a shop car. I was driving it the other day, and the light let us through an intercetion. There was some kid in a 4th Gen T/A sitting there at the light wildly reving his cammed car at us like he was a rock star. Keep in mind..he probabaly does not know that the car is owned by one of the bigger LSx parts suppliers on the east coast (which likely supplied some of his parts), located a half a mile up the road, or that I have 3 supercharged LSx shop cars at said location. Some people just put too much status on what car they drive, and how much better is is than the next guy.

I've gotten crap because its a V6, because its yellow, because it's impractical to have in Wisconsin, because assumed the insurance is 'probably high', because the tires are to expensive to replace, because its 'not a Dodge' or 'not a Mustang', ....and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few..

But, with my last car, I didn't get any crap at all and the car was barely discussed. It was a plain Jane '07 Charger SE. So the Camaro's got people taking notice and talking--good, bad, or in between so whether its jealousy or whatever, don't much care, I get to own it and enjoy it.

exactly. People get excited about the "v8" - it has mystique. When people ask that, they're not trying to diss you - they just want to share in that mystique. Acting like a douche and making fun of their Civic or minivan just makes one look very shallow.

Exactly. One of the few people who talked bad (it was about it being auto) about my car didn't and still doesn't have a car. Either way there isn't anything that could make me regret buying a v6 I got the exact car that I wanted.
