Sure it is amazing for $23,000 but show me how many v6 owners actually paid $23k... Most I see on here are guys with 2LT/RS fully loaded with custom rims and all these addons, making it closer to $30k, the same price as a 1SS. I know when they first came out, except the LS, the LT and 2LT were upwards of 30k.....

So yes, we can take the base average value of the car and say it is great for the money, but don't run around saying how you can beat all these people, or complaining that SS owners overpaid and how with that money you COULD make your v6 faster.

A 30 000$ V6 Camaro will look way better than a stock 31 000$ SS.

The 2LT has options your base SS doesn't have, including leather seats.
The RS package has options your base SS doesn't have.
The custom rims probably look miles better than the base chevy rims slapped on your SS.

You want to pay 30 000$ for an engine.
They want to pay 30 000$ for a good looking car.

Slow on the track and slow in the real world of daily drivers are two different things. Of course the V6 isn't going to blow the doors off V8s at the track, but it's quicker than most "normal" cars on the road, and it looks better. Works for me.

These threads are a complete waste of time. If someone needs a V8, or any car for that matter, to feel more secure about themselves, then that's just sad. It's too bad there's so much insecurity and immaturity on the forum. We're supposed to be here because we like cars (Camaros, in particular) not to talk crap about each other.

I find that driving like a maniac usually supercedes these tendencies in other drivers, you can scare alot of people in a V6 :o)

But I would gladly pay $40k for a fully loaded SS. It still is no where as nice as my CTS-V was.
