At the F-Body Gathering this weekend I talked to a guy who made the comment that they shouldn't even let V6ers in to the show unless they were women.

I asked him why, and he said "Well, any man who would buy a V6 Camaro or Mustang must be just a pu**y."

So I asked him what he thought about the automatic transmission. He said drag racing is for pu**ies.

He was a cool enough guy but I couldn't talk him off of his stance.

Drag racing is for pussies? Had this guy ever been to see dragracing? What did he claim his studly game was?!

HELLO people its still a CAMARO and still deserves the same RESPECT! plus it still beats half the cars on the road.
Plus most of us V6 owners use our Camaro as our Daily Driver so we don't want a V8 cause of gas... or If your like me and is 18, a 2011 Camaro is NICE NO MATTER the engine size!
I just wanted to see if any other V6 owners get the same crap on the road or Camaro5 ?

I went to a barbeque this past weekend with a ton of people at a friends place. Low and behold another guest arrived in a brand new 5.0. Over the course of the day i had multiple people wanting to check out my ride , sit in it and take photos of it with their kids or without. Hell My wife has a pic up on her facebook with a bunch of the girls from the party all gathered around my SS. The 5.0 got pretty much zero attention.

It's a six, get used to it. It has been that way since the 60s. Sure the 6's are great cars and we all have camaros and are all cool with each other. But the general public thinks of a muscle car having muscle. Sure 312hp is alot compared to older cars, but with todays tech, it's not really a big deal. If your really worried about it, put a 150 shot on it and run people for some money and shock the hell out of them. Enjoy your car for what you bought it for, not what others think you should have bought it for.

well of course not all. i know if my sister wanted a camaro it would be a v6. and her car cost 15k more than my SS. but then again why even get a 2 door sports car if not for speed? her answer would be, because its a cute car or something like that. again i bought a camaro to have a fast car, and look cool while doing that. i didn't buy it for gas. or because it had enough power for me.
this is why we have problems on the forum. because we have so many camaro enthusiasts here that only believe in the v8, and wont have it any other way.
