In April, OnStar hosted a web chat with Nick Pudar — Vice President of Planning and Business Development. Questions ranged from the future of OnStar, the possibilities for voice-based communications, what’s in store for subsequent MyLink app releases, privacy, and — of course — MyLink app compatibility with 2010 model-year vehicles.

Question: Hey Nick! Is there a timetable on 2010 chevy vehicles i.e. the Camaro being available to work with the onstar iPhone app?
Nick: Rodney, to elaborate a little more on this topic, the 2010 Camaro is one of the vehicles with hardware and technical limitations that prevented us from enabling a meaningful level of functionality. It would’ve been severely limited. However, many customers have said they would like to see an app with only the very basic functionality. We are currently looking into developing a modified version of the app with the basic functions.

Some 2010 Chevy vechiles got it, the Camaro was not one and will never get it. They are all done looking back and are moving forward.

I'm glad it doesnt work honestly. I had a viper remote start added to my car cause I wanted that and they released this app a week later. I would have been pretty mad if it would have worked. But, for everyone else, I hope you guys do get it.

that would be perfect. that's really the only thing i need. i've locked my keys in my car/trunk twice already.

Its not about just looking back it is about getting new customers and keeping the ones you have, a lot of people own those vehicles. If they can add basic functionality for customers I would think it should help customer retention.

I would assume the limited features would be what ever you can see on your OnStar membership and possible door unlock.(as this is a feature that OnStar can do remotely right now)

Yeah that is huge BS if they can do it for u if u call but u can't use the app on a 2010 WTF all us 2010 people were waiting for it
