It would be a lot different having a family, a mortgage and many other things in the future you will have to think about. Rather its a ZL1 or ZR1, both my dream cars, if I could afford it right now, and didn't have those things I just mentioned to worry about any time soon, I'd get it. Just how I look at it, good luck! BTW I think the V8 height is like a jedi mind trick, haha. I'm pretty sure they are close, but with different suspensions...
Thx Man
Hell yaaa if i can afford it { i will have to put every thing in mind though , from down payment to insurance to service , to future stuffs } im going for it

I've been dreaming about it for too long , that i dnt thank that i will be able to see one cruising down the road and not droll all over it { i do this now with the SS btw , and i tend to forget about my self and follow them }

I'm 21 and guess what this morning my supervisor came in and said we're laying u and two others off so don't come back to work tomorrow. So now I'm outta work and have so many bills to pay. I don't know what I'm gonna do. From this day forward I've told myself that if I can't pay for anything with cash then I'm not buying.

sry to hear that man
i hope you get another job really quick so you dont end up with so many bill's
beside that buying in cash is really tough man , you will have to save up for few years to get what you want , instead of having a loan and paying for it and get what you want when you want
but its a personal choice

You can't live without credit. Unless you are already set in life and have a house you are going to die in. Being young, you need to establish good credit to buy a house, car, etc. Unless you are just a baller and can buy a house with all cash...

Not going to get into what you should or shouldn't do, I'm just curious as to what interest rates are in Bahrain for an auto loan?

Sure your parents are looking out for you, it's their job. Buy what you like and enjoy life. Don't buy a house, the way the economy is, you're better off to rent. Spend your dough on a nice car and enjoy being a kid while you can.

I'm sure the culture is very different in terms of living arrangements out there. Here in the US it is frowned upon if you live with your parents past high school or college. Here owning a house is part of the "American dream" so that's why you see a lot of people talking about getting a house first. But you know what, no matter where you live, you're much better off owning the land than renting off somebody else, even your parents.

With that being said, if the majority of the people in your age bracket still live with parents and may do so indefinitely, then its up to you what you do. But a car is a depreciating asset, if that's your biggest asset, you will be continually losing money on it. Then you will get tired of it when the next hot thing comes out and you'll have to start saving all over. So consider this before buying. You will rarely get to use the ZL1's power as well so if it is going to be your daily driver and you don't plan on racing it on a track, maybe it's better to get the SS or LT and modding the body to make it look really nice.

And another thing. You're 22. Even though you've been on the road for 4 years, you still aren't THAT experienced. Having such a powerful car and being full of youthful testosterone and lack of experience is a dangerous combination. You will have to use restraint that you have never thought possible, just not to do stupid crap on the road. It'll hurt waaay more if you wreck a 50k car versus a 30k car.

But really, if the ZL1 is what you really really want, and you're sure you may not want the next hot thing in a few years, by all means buy it. Respect the car and it's power and enjoy it!
