What's up camaro5,
It's been a long while since I posted on here, but I have a question that I could use your expertise on. I just bought an Oil Catch Can for my 2011 L99, and I wanted to know something about the install. I have read the instructions, and it seems very straightforward. I was just wondering if this should be installed during an oil change with all my oil drained out of the car, or if it can be installed just sitting in the garage. I'm just worried about pulling out one of the PVC lines, and having leakage from it. Is it cool to just start yanking those lines out? When I ordered I requested the extra 3/8" tubing for the L99, any other tips reguarding the install would be helpful. Best Regards

Yes it's OK to just yank the lines out. Though you may want to use a flat head screwdriver to help you with the locking mechanism on the hoses.

I also just wanted to say for anyone reading this that is considering getting one that the Elite Engineering catch can is excellent. I can tell it's made with high quality materials, and it's also made in the USA. I chose the chrome version, with chrome fittings, and I'm very satisfied with the order. They are a bit on the expensive side, but once you receive it you'll be pleased with the solid craftsmanship.

You might want to run some Sea Foam through your intake, depending on how many miles you've been driving it without the catch can. It'll clean out all that stuff that you're now stopping with the can.
