Just pull out the black plastic slot cover, wire it right through the hole in the mail slot and wire into your side marker.
easy day-

agreed.

just got the AAC LED scanner that does go all the way to the end but of course it's an AAC product so it's messed up right out of the box.... so, PUTCO stays.

Not surprising. Sad to see a company with such a cool line of products and potential have crappy made products that never seem to stay working.

Installed the Putco LED Dayliner in the mailbox slot this week. I like the look, but my girlfriend hates it. I guess to each their own. I will say that because the housing is chrome, it will look better on certain colors (black, silver, charcoal) than others.

I agree that the only downside IMO is that the chrome bar sticks out beyond the edge of the slot by about a quarter inch. Also the lights protrude from the metal and are housed in some kind of clear rubber material. It would've been better if the whole thing was housed in a plastic container with a black background so the product would be more discreet except when on.

I am curious to see how long this product holds up with the materials and water proofing. We shall see...

Does it do anything? Scan, change color, I was looking at their site and it gives no details. Plus I don't see the chrome one, the one they show is black

deepdown, no it only lights up with a white LED light. Anything beyond and you risk getting pulled over and cited. It should be chrome if it is the Putco LED Dayliner.

Your girlfriend knows what she's talking about. Very gimmicky.

Erk, here's a couple pics. I had a hard time getting the phone camera to focus with the brightness of the light. I am getting more used to them and have gotten a few compliments. They look better on at night then they do off during the day. I wired them to my halo lights so they come on with the parking lights.

Nice! It looks good on SIM which what I have too! I like that a lot. Can you try one more pic like that second pic but with the LED's on?
