First Post. I have been watching this site since I ordered my 2ss back in October. Lots of info obtained, thanks to all. I currently am a proud owner of a 1969 SS that I have owned since I was 16. I am now 45. My Uncle purchased the car new in 69. I have restored it and I have the original purchase form from the dealer. It has the original 350/300hp rebuilt. I can't wait to park the 2010 beside it in the garage. My son will be turning 16 in May. He wants to drive it!!!!! I think he will start out in the 88 Cavalier!

I certainly know why you might have 2 Camaros right now and you have been driving them since you were 16. I still have my 76 Camaro Type LT which I purchased when I was 16, and I also have an 88 Iroc Z which I still drive every day and have owned for 11 years. I have a 2010 2SS/RS on order right now. I also have no plans at this time to get rid of either of the other two Camaros. I am 41 years old. Below is a picture of my 76 Camaro.

That brings me back. My first Camaro was a firethorn 76 LT. I completely restored it and then sadly sold it about 10 years ago. I am always looking for another.

I still have the factory original rims if anybodys intrested.

I swear the designer of the tails went and asked permission from the corvette team to do it, but if you want a car that looks just like an older model, then you should consider a chally, the Camaro took styling CUES and revamped it to give a modern Camaro, i think they did an amazing job with the rear end. The concept looked a bit better because the Tails were a wider and there was no extra hump in the rear bumper. The Camaro looks great, from front to back, they didnt want to make it look just like the 67s, 68s, or 69s,
I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions but i dont think its fair to say the car stole things from the corvette, nor do i think its fair to say that they didnt do a good job with the rear.

Firethorn was the color. Kinda of a deep red metallic. It almost had a pearlcoat look to it.
