PLANT TOUR UPDATE

On line registration is now closed:
Registration opens at the event site starting 1:00 PM on Thursday June 9th until 5:00 PM

Hope and pray for safe travels for everyone. It has been 100 degreesF here the last two days, can't wait to get out of it!
I have been told that on the hotels that charge the CHT(Canadian Healthcare) taxes, that we can file a form with the IRS and get that back because we don't have Canadian Healthcare available to us. So might not hurt to hang onto your receipts. Also Discover card has the lowest charge fee for international use. All cell phones should work, you'll just get charged at a higher rate depending on your plan.

You are sort of correct. It's called HST "Harmonized Sales Tax". If you keep your receipts, you can file a claim for a tax rebate with the Canadian Revenue Agency. Keep those receipts and we'll help you through the process next week.

You can also register at the plant grounds on Friday and Saturday as well (for anyone who cannot make it before then).

BBOMG Update! -Arrival Registration

Hello all! We know that many of you are keen to get on the road to Oshawa (some may have already left!). There has been plenty of good advice posted here by fellow BBOMGers to assist with your travels. However once you arrive in Oshawa and check in to your hotel, we ask that all registered BBOMG guests come by the BBOMG Registration office located in room 118 at the BBOMG Host Hotel (Quality Inn). There you will receive your BBOMG goody bag, T-shirts, event programs, dinner tickets, other important information and a chance to ask questions. Goody bags will only be handed out at the registration office.

We also invite anyone arriving Thursday to join us Thursday evening for a casual gathering in Hospitality Suite 180 at the Host Hotel.

I just added the 'Canadian International' plan to mine and the hubby's Sprint cell phones. We can now make calls within Canada at ONLY $.20 per minute. Wonder what it would have been without it?
