I am not 100% sure but dont most inspection places pass you if only only one not ready showing?

Also I had a nissan that was OB2 i think late 90's that wouldnt pass emissions, the evap and two other codes would never show ready. We drove the hell out of the car trying to get it to show ready to no avail. Later my dad's friend found some wierd directions to drive the car at certian speeds so many miles, turn off ac drive so many miles, change to such and such speed and drive so many miles. Well after following these directions it worked and came in ready.

I really hope this problem gets solved. And I will experiment with ideas as well. Think someone mentioned the heat not getting high enough in the headers to "cook" the emissions properly so i will try wrapping the headers and see what happens

Some states will pass you if you show one not in the "Ready" state but in TN they all have to show ready. Some states also only test folks every 2 - 5 years, but here we are tested yearly.

Thats just the strangest thing I have ever heard, but the only way I could guaranty to fix this issue is if you send me the ECM. I can download the program myself, and perform an inspection test on it while on the bench.

Feel free to mail me the ECM anytime if you would like to do that, there must be something funky going on there, because this is normally a non issue item that is done to every car here.

I would think there's other cars in TN that have gone through this process. Is it possible there's an issue with the actual ECM? I find it odd you've been struggling so much and no one else here has had the same problems.

This may be asking the obvious but any chance that in the plugging and unplugging of O2 sensors that a pin wasn't damaged or bent over?

Best is to take doug up on his offer.

I know we can test the -readiness with EFI live which makes it alot easier.

He is all Set, It was something else that had nothing to do with which software was used.

I solved the Problem, Thank you All for your input, and Doug for your offer to help.

SCT Works just Fine all by itself, Contrary to popular belief.

SCT FTW.

Ted.

Boy this situation sure is odd! I took the file that I sent Ted yesterday and downloaded it into an ECM here and did the readiness check on it and viola, it passed with flying colors?

Well, sure glad you got that taken care of anyway Ted.
