Camaro rs vs civic vtec

I work at a Honda dealership. I had a 2007 civic si. The v6 Camaro would beat it easily. But, the 2012 si might be a better challenge. It's going to have a 2.4l vs 2.0 engine, closer gear ratio, a few more hp, but over 30ft lbs torque more lower in the rpm range. Prolly still won't beat the v6 Camaro tho

Most of asian imports are a joke except one or two that make an actually sports car like the GTR and LFA. I realize my STOCK SS can smoke and STOCK honda, Acura, toyota, infiniti, hyndai, Kia, daewoo, mazda, Mitsubishi, subaru, and others not owrth metioning.

Somebody will pull the modded card, and I can mod too. But for stock I have the edge.

Nismo 370Z Nismo at any autocross/track ?

The Genesis sedan is getting a new 5.0 liter bored out version of the Tau 4.6, it should make 430 horsepower +.

The 420 horsepower Infiniti M56 runs low 13s, as does Lexus IS350, so those would be close with your car.

Mitsubishi Evo or WRX can run even or beat your car(in the 1/4) with a $300 ECU reflash(hardly pulling the "modded card", most manufacturer's all-season floor mats cost more than this).

I didnt mention Lexas because I know that the ISF is an equal contender.

A quick search has the camaro beating the 370z around the track, but I didnt mention the nissan brand beacause the of the GTR

A quicker search has the M56 running 0-60 in 5 secaonds flat, and a 13.5 1/4 mile. It weighs several hundred pounds more than the SS, yet has less power. Havent heard of the new hyndai so I cant speak on it, although being a full sized sedan it probably wont have impressive performance figures. With equal drivers the SS shouldnt have a problem with a stock EVO or WRX.

I think the 2011 WRX/STI would give you a run for your money. That's a low 13s car.

Those are the numbers InsideLine got for the M35h.... The 5.6 liter V8-powered M56 is a bit faster than the 3.5 liter V6 hybrid version. The IS-F is a bit faster too, it runs the same numbers through the 1/4 as the Mustang GT 5.0, mid-high 12s.

He has an SS. He is right as far as bare bones coming from the factory rolling off the assembly line in dry climates with good asphalt in straight line 1/4 mile drag strip comes, besides three exceptions in those very specifec conditions. The Lexus IS-F and LFA as well as the Nissan GTR.

But, a $24k BASE Subaru WRX will run with it or beat it at any around town legal speed.

I'm curious of this "Tapatalk".... I have an Iphone and it doesn't say anything when I post something.

I know he has an SS. Both are low 13s cars (13.1-13.3 vs 13.3-13.5 depending on source). That's pretty darn close.
