APR question? Might be dumb.
Has anyone actually sat down with their dealer and mapped out Financing and such?? I would want to do this if I placed my order to know exactly what im getting myself into.
What are the APR's you are getting from GMAC or other lendors?? Most likely i will have my dad sign for the car, i will co-sign to get a better rate. Im 22 and about to graduate so I know Dad will get a better a APR than me, Im hoping for nothing north of 5%. I want a 1SS/RS w/ Sunroof and Auto Trans. Bringing me just shy of $37k after taxes and such. Im hoping to put down about 6k. Im also hoping for payment of about $450 a/mo ballpark over 6 yrs... lol Sound do-able??

$31000 for 6 years at 6% is $513.76/month
$31000 for 6 years at 4% is $485.00/month Take it from there.

Sounds like without a bigger down payment you may need to think about the V6 to keep you're payment under 450.00 per month. Even dad may not be able to swing much lower than 5%.
And I doubt a dealer is going to do those type of things until they have a VIN to deal with. I could be wrong but don't let anyone do a 'Hard Credit Check' on you, especially at 22 because it will reflect negatively. Good luck. |

Best I got with GMAC was 7% Might be best to go with a bank/credit union. |

Hey, ChevyBoiSS, I can't really give you better advice than what the other guys here have already given, but I have to ask, what does your sig mean, "OHH.. DID I MENTION 24" off THE GROUND?!" Surely you don't intend to jack your Camaro up like some kind of monster truck, do you?

I currently have a Capital One auto loan and have never had problems from them. Their Blank Check setup is pretty convenient to use. Their current APR for 60-month is 4.89%, and I plan to use them again if the dealership has nothing better.

Someone here directed me to cars.com, over there they have a finace option, where you put the price of the car with taxes in, your down pament, your interests rates you find, as well as the number of monthes. It will tell you your monthly costs as well as the total cost of the car with interest in. Really neat site, very helpful
