Hey Guys and Dolls ---

While I was unable to get away from the registration table, I did manage to give
my camera to a new member of the club . I asked if he would take a few pics for me.
He did and they are GREAT --- A big THANK YOU ---

I also want to take this time to THANK those that helped with Registration and
Judging. Just too many to name but you know who you are ---

Justin and Debbie --- you both did and OUTSTANDING job with the computer--
It did cut the time down considerably. I'd say by several hours ---

Again THANKS to ALL that helped make this event an awesome one --

I want to thank each and every one of you for coming out and volunteering last Saturday with the 8th Annual ALM Open Car Show. There were nearly 30 of you that sacrificed your Saturday to help raise money for veterans and at the same time, show the compassion of the San Antonio Camaro Club.

Six months ago I was approached by the Veteran’s Affairs Office (VAO), at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Hospital, with an opportunity for our club to revive their annual car show for Veterans. Of course, I could not say no. It was then – I, Mike Munos and Mike Shaw participated in several meetings with the VAO. Over the last 6 months many important decisions were made concerning funding, judging, sponsors, trophies, t-shirts, vendors, and show registration. Thanks Mike and Mike for assisting me and ultimately making the club stand out professionally in such an important fundraiser.

I also want to thank all that passed out show fliers, sold sponsorships, and assembled trophies leading up to this event. Preparation is “paramount” to any successful event and you all did an outstanding job proving that!

I have already received many compliments about our efforts Saturday and I must say I’m proud to be part of such a great group of car people. I was especially proud when I saw the many smiles of disabled veterans from the hospital that made their way out to look at all the cars. One special compliment/thank-you came from one of those very veterans – I could only choke back the lump in my throat and say, “No, thank-you!

You all did good gang!!! Pat yourself on the back!

90 registered cars
9 vendors
19 trophy sponsors

Total: $2,700 profit
