Do we have curb weight stats yet?

I'm seeing some ignorant BS on a Mustang V6 board I browse, and I want some hard info to respond with.

Considering this car's design has been pretty much finalized for some time now, and it goes into full scale production in 4 days... I think we should have this info by now. My searches on this board have yielded nothing worthwhile, though.

FYI, this is the post I'm most pissed off at:

"i would not worry about the camaro its a 4000lb heap big deal its 300hp and also weights 600lbs more and if its geared like the last gen. camaros then it will be close ill put my 6 against one any day as for the z28 bring it on i can beat a challenger srt8 in my bullitt im sure i can take the z28 and we still have the last true muscle car left were the only one with the true rear live axles all the rest went ricer with full independent and remember the last time you seen a top fueler running a ind. susp. i sure dont"

I think 3860 for the SS, but I forgot if its Manual or Auto. Also, I know why people flame camaro owners. Because they know their HP is superior and they are too ashamed to admit it, so they just put the camaro people down.

Heres a little rule I use for the internet... If somebody types out a paragraph of information, but leaves it as one huge sentence instead of using periods, they are probably a dummy thats talking sh*t .

The mustang and camaro have their ups and downs. I just hate when people pick on eachother and can't except the fact that they each picked a different car.

The person that wrote that post obviously has no clue what the heck he/she is talking about. They are just talking smack so it would be of no use to provide facts because those kinds of folks could care less. Its their imaginary world so let em live in it.

Edit: I am referring to the post that Rake quoted.

Exactly. The whole "I like Mustang/Camaro/Firebird/Whatever, so that means that everyone else sucks!!!!!" thing is just retarded. I want to throw some cold water on those guys and their egomania. To be fair, though, there are some people on this board who could use the same treatment.

I drive a V6 Mustang. The V6 Camaro will be faster. Good for the Camaro, I'm happy for it. Do I care that mine is slower? No. Why? Because I'm not emotionally invested in which american muscle car is fastest. My car is not an extension of my dick. The 210 HP I have accomplishes everything I need it too. I will never race anyone. I have nothing to prove. I don't care where I am on the pecking order.

The LT he's talking about is 3750, not light but fantastic compared to the joke that the V6 stang is. Z28 stuff doesn't matter since the SS will easily blow by the Bullit as well. He is (kind of) right about one thing, if all you want to do is go straightline fast for cheap the Mustang has a good setup. Nothing ricer about IRS though, that's almost as silly as if he had decided Brembo brakes are ricer. Wouldn't waste my time arguing with an idiot like that though, looks like someone that simply won't understand when they are wrong.
