Figured I'd get into trouble with an SS. Somehow, I still get into trouble, but get better MPG.

I just wanted something that had looks, power, and RWD (live in MN, but I already managed 1 winter). I really though about going the Subaru WRX route for a while, but I wanted American. The V6 is lighter on the wallet at the pumps, cheaper on insurance than my previous 2.2L cobalt. SS would have gotten me into more trouble than need be. The LLT has plenty of enough power to get me out of a sticky situation, IF need be!

yup, concept looks, and RS was a no-brainer option.

for me cost of ownership was the consideration. v6 means 87 octane and a few mpg better mileage and about 100 a month lower payment. about 200 a month cheaper to own. my car essentially looks the same as the ss and is plenty quick for me. I am not into racing anyone and getting a fat ticket. too many other hobbies to become a track monkey too.

I ordered mine in May 09. So I got exactly what I wanted, better gas milage lower ins. premiums, and all the stuff I wanted. I have had leather seats in my last 4 cars and yes it gets hot here in florida. but I like the leather. the one thing I didn't get was the sunroof. I have had that on my last 5 cars and found I didn't use it much so when I had the chance to just get what I really wanted. I did.and now I'm adding all the stuff I couldn't order.

I drive and SS so I can't post my personal exp but my little brother drives a 1LT and he got it to have a clean cheap slate to make it a one of a kind... He saved 13k over my 2SS and is about to start his build.... Widebody, Lambo doors, paint, wheels, and he hasn't told me his plans for te interior... Plus his 6 hangs pretty hard with my 8 from a 60 punch on the interstate...

This... why do we need a new thread about this subject like every single day? Be happy with what you bought, shut up, and go out and enjoy the car.

My last car was around 160 HP. I saw the Camaro, loved the looks and was wowed by the 312 HP. I didn't really even consider the SS at the time because I didn't think I would need 400 HP. Of course, now that I'd had a taste of power, I would love to have more. Someday For now, I'm happy with the V6 and a few mods. I really can't even drive the V6 to full potential on the streets; the SS would just be a waste for me.

I wanted a Camaro with better fuel economy, so I went with the V6. I already own a 91 V8 Camaro. I had no need to go with an SS. I dont need the speed or HP. I wanted a classy daily driver. Thats my reason for the LT over the SS.

I got a brand new '76 straight out of college. No SSs or Z28s then. I traded for a '77 LT, then '78 Z28 (stolen) and then a '80 Z28.

This time round (30 years wiser) I'm holding onto my 2LT (stick of course) until the last Gen5 Z28 is made. It'll be my 8th and final Camaro. I bet you Sir Nuke will follow a similiar path once again.

I bypassed the extra $8,000 for the SS and bought my son a 4 year old Cobalt.
