We were thinking 3.2 or 3.0 to get the boost back up to 8 or 9. Maybe rear pulley.

Come on down. This place SUCKS for performance shops. So you'd easily be 'The Man' down here.

But we only have an 1/8th mile track. So kinda sucks.

Good luck PQ. I think you should do any upgrades you think you'll want now as well. Just consider it fun tax and remember you can't take it with you.

850HP!? Is that to the wheels? What's done to that thing? What times does it run in the 1/4?

I thought the 'bhp' was for back horse power. But I don't know.

Bonnie will kick your ass too. (Yes, she can.)

PQ, I went to a 3.4" pulley with the cam and the boost is at about 8.

If the pulley gets too small, you can have belt slip. I think you're ok at 3.2", but I've heard of some belts slipping with a 3.0" and small pulleys. Just something to consider. I'm sure Vengeance will be sure your belt is ok.

This is exciting!

Or just change the back one. But I may not need to go too much smaller. My 1 3/4 primaries will help to hold it in a bit.

FYI from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepo...ake_horsepower

Quote:
Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower before the loss in power caused by the gearbox, alternator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as power steering pump, muffled exhaust system, etc.
My bhp is approx. 648 and with 19% (L99) loss in my drive train, 525 RWHP (rear wheel horse power)

That's a big difference between Dodge folk and Chevy folk it seems. We never quote engine HP numbers because there's no way to really know unless you stick it on an engine dyno. You can guesstimate based on drive train losses and all that, but 19% seems REAL high to me for a modern car.

The only people I quote engine power to are those that have ZERO knowledge of cars since that's how manufacturers rate them, and even then I quote it lower than I think it is.

My Challenger had about 11% drive train loss bone stock on the dyno. It was rated at 376 and made 335 on a Dynojet Dyno bone stock. There's a lot of speculation the R/T was under rated by Dodge to make the SRT look better, but who knows.

What really shows the power is the MPH in the 1/4 mile. I've had lots of people tell me their cars are 550RWHP or whatever only to watch them run 112MPH trap speeds in the 1/4

I got 19% for my car from the stock dyno number, which was 325 RWHP. GM puts the L99 at 400 BHP. So, 19% of 400 just happens to be 324. LS3's run about 12% (426 BHP, 375 RWHP).

Edit: your torque number is awesome! (627 RWTQ)

My numbers are rear wheel hp numbers. I don't have any full on 1/4 mile times but with an abysmal 2.55 60', she went 131 in the quarter... We only got on her after getting into second gear... 11.51 at 131 isn't too shabby... I'm still waiting for a nine inch diff to really launch her...And I trapped 113 stock...

It damn sure seems like an 18 to 19% DT loss for L99s. My stock Dyno was 325rwhp.

And if that's the case, then it's even worse with my piece of crap, boat anchor savini wheels.
