planning on my next Friday off which is 24th June.

it's definitely a combination of the two as I had noticed an improvement in accelerating when in 4th gear with just the Trifecta tune but thought I'd put to test the combination with the Vararam and WOW! this thing moves like it is possessed, I had to rain myself in at one point as I didn't realize how quickly I had got my speed up - can't wait to get this thing on the dyno and out to the track ! a big thumbs up to both Vararam and Trifecta

EDIT: not to mention the noise of this thing now with the MRT v2 ! sweeeeet
GoPaul,
Can you tell the difference yet compared to the Injen? Minor, moderate or large and worth the swap? Also compare as to city and freeway response

Thanks

why is it that when no one has the intake everyone is on the thread but not that people have them in their hands they disappear like ghosts?

Keeping an eye out for all the results of the VR. If all is good, I'll be adding this to my Christmas list for the wife to purchase.

Ok, for those of you that want my impression on the Vararam, here we go.

1. Not Difficult to install. I did have an issue with getting my clearance right but was corrected by tightinging the radiator backets a little more.

2. The Unit does not interfear with my passengers side RX catch can.

3. With this installed my Exhaust Tone is more of a deeper growl when accelerating, even with a stock exhaust system.

4. And the most important for me. The car seems like it wants to accelerate more. Once you get into the 2500 the car just pulls hard to redline. At least in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. 5th gear will allow for acceleration better than before, and 6th is like 5th use to be.

5. If you don't want the dealer to know that you have been running a Vararam then take a half hour before going into the dealership to swap the stock box back in. Its that simple, the only evidence would be your cut radiator brackes but for $15 dollars you can have a second set of them to swap out too.

I believe some where it says $350. I'm not sure if it has changed though.

My feedback will have to be purely on my butt dyno for now but I do intend to reload the stock tune and dyno with the Vararam and MRT installed - I then plan to upload the 13HP tune and dyno again and then finally maybe do a third pull based upon new tune tweaked around the Vararam.

Anyway back to my butt - ooohh!

My only comparison so far to the Vararam versus the Injen includes the 13HP tune (with both).

With the tune and my injen I felt that my low end gear changes were alot smoother (particularly 1st to 2nd - btw I drive a manual). I also noticed better acceleration in 4th and 5th gears. Whether or not it is worth the extra $600 I paid is debatable but I do plan on installing LT headers at some point so I needed to get the tune anyway.

With the 13HP tune and Vararam - OMG what a difference, much better pulling power across the bands - difficult for me to comment on whether or not that was purely down to the Vararam or the combination but gut feel is that it is the combination - I doubt a single intake upgrade would give me as much as I felt driving home last night - though I could be wrong!

I can't wait to get headers on this thing - I am convinced I'll break into the 300 RWHP range

Seems consistent with what Kmorpheus and Chosen4service have said also. Seems like rolnslo has been on the $$ so far. Glad to hear this, need to get home to play with mine now and do my dyno sessions!
