Damn you're lucky! So jealous. That is awesome man, I bet it was amazing to not only see the factory and some of the GM team, but to actually drive a ZL1

How tall is the shifter?

How does the height of the ZL1 shifter compare to the "normal" and the "Factory Hurst" shifters. That thing looks freakishly tall in all the pics I've seen of it......I'm hoping it's just an optical illusion.

Looking at the videos of the ZL1 it appears to me at least that, chevy optimized the width of the front and rear tracks. Al, if you read this can you comment? Any other perspectives from you members?

Some of these overexposed pics with flash don't do the interior justice at all IMO.
I guess the suede makes sense in the seats...Chevy has done some kinda hokie things, in my opinion, like the center console...not very aesthetic...again in my opinion...if the had taken the vette interior and plopped it in the camaro, I would have been happy. I know they were trying to go for "different", and they achieved it. I wish there was a advisory panel for such things as cosmetic features like the buttons, and dash, and such. I think by polling the consumers, they would get a much better looking car. Instead of leaving it up to the engineers. I absolutely LOVE the lights in the doors, and in my convertible that's the first thing people complement me on, but the suede just seems like a step down to leather...in my mind they mights as well have put fuzzy dice, curb feelers, and gold rims on the car...

ok im done with my rant...lol

Allanski,

It was great meeting you at the Camaro Homecoming event.
For those of you who may have not see it... Allanski did a great job with Rob Leth on Global News Toronto on Sunday night.

You can view it here:
http://www.globaltoronto.com/video/i...qK3pP7OB79lrY0

I tried embedding it, but couldn't get it to work. If anyone knows how to do it, please share.

All of us at Chevrolet here in Canada and Detroit had an absolute blast at the event. A big thank you to all of you who came out... the event would not be possible without you.

Cheers!

Daaaang!

Yea, shifter looks really tall, but I'm wondering if its just because its skinnier than the "normal" one?

Pretty cool to say your first on that! I can't wait until these are on the road, eh!
