I wonder why GM hasn't made this available yet? Interesting...

GM already have the stock grille and heritage grille designs. Maybe there is a decent amount of demand for this one but the demand is not big enough for GM to actually produce it? Who knows

Well the stock grille is like dirt cheap($70, unpaint, before shipping) from GM parts websites, so there's no way this will be priced anything close to that.

I don't know how much everything is gonna cost right now but it won't be $500 for sure. I think it might cost a little more expensive than the heritage grille, like somewhere between $300-400. Again this is a very rough estimate, I will have a better estimate in a few days.

Maybe some movie prop company?
I mean they did make like 3 sets of these for the Transformers 3 movie
However I do think the grille and front are professionally modded with OEM parts

Are we sure there is even a crash sensor just behind the plastic bumper? I had my bumper off just last weekend....there isn't much back there at all once you pull off the plastic bumper support and the grills themselves. Theres wiring for the fogs...and thats about it I think.

Strangely enough, GM had a Transformers 3 movie car at the BBOMG event this past weekend...the grill was solid...as in no holes through it. It wasn't a full-blown non-functioning movie prop, as I saw it drive through the show field, but it definitely didn't have holes in it. Here's a pic:

I voted yes.. A good reasonable price would be in the $300 to $350 range if the quality is there.

Honestly, I'm just looking at the bumper port. This is the best picture I've seen of them yet

Thanks for the picture and pointing that out, it is strange indeed.
Seems like the nearly solid thing behind the grill would restrict a lot of airflow?

I'm not sure if the sensor is actually located behind the bumper, but it sounds possible at least, and if it is, then I see potential liability

You mean the two horizontal front bars with all the vertical support behind(The one Showstopper made doesn't have the vertical support behind the front horizontal bars) , or with the 'solid' design that Kilo-9 mentioned?

I think the vertical support looks nice, but don't see the point of the 'solid' design.

It is a great picture of the ports, I was looking at them as well
And it kind of looks like the ports are designed to direct some airflow to somewhere....

Well, I personally believe that making a crappy quality one is just not right, it you can't make a good quality one then don't make it

Now how about making the front bumper? I'm sure lots of people would be interested in that!
