you just answered my question... fact: the terminators were a factory blown car. a 2002 gt vs a 2002 ss wasnt very close. if we throw in specialized cars, the camaro zl1 in 1969 from the factory ran a 10.14. all im saying is before 2011, a normal ford mustang gt didnt compete with the camaro.

what about the late 80s and early 90s until the lt1. . . or 2003-2009?

Why the SS?

02 GT vs 02 SS is not a fair match up when there is a less powerful 02 Z/28 model to go up against even though it was still quicker.

Please dont make me hunt down S197 Cobra jet videos to give your specialty vehicle comment some competition.

zl1 def ran low 10s... and from 2003-2009 obviously there were no camaros.

also.. have fun driving a cobra jet on the street with the 4.29 gear ratio. the cobra jet is fast as hell for the dragstrip, and should be for >$100,000....

i personally would have to go with a zr1 for that much money... lol

I still say "you can put a silk dress on a pig(mustang) and it's still a pig."
You can have all the power in the world Mustangs are just to damn ugly.

I was recently at the Bowling Green KY Track and there was a stock mustang there that ran 12.4 on stock motor and trans. I looked the car over and there were no mods at all under the hood. Owner stated that the vehicle did not have a tune as well.

I thought this thread was about 'power'. You seem to have wandered into unfamiliar territory......

In the 80s there was a point in time were the 5.0 was faster than the much heavier IROC-Z but made the same power.
