ssshhh...

you guys want some dirt on Dragoneye...

He test drove a mustang the other day....

Now, in fairness, they literally paid him to do it. Some promotion.

I think when he left, he told them he was gonna use the money for a down payment on the Camaro....

The build a camaro site should be up on Monday.

I am surprised that some one is not upset that there are no badges on the rear. Some would put that right up there with lighted mirrors on the visor.
I'm not really sure what you're talking about here... I was just agreeing with the invalidity of your "CAMARO" vs. "Camaro" preference. Your post doesn't quite fit in with the conversation, as I see no mention of the fender...? so you lost me on this one, sorry...

Totally agree with you both. Oh, don't get me wrong. I wasn't opposed to the backseat options at all. Totally convenient. I was just saying in comparison to all the other places on the car that needed more attention, I could certainly deal with an extra step getting in and out of the vehicle from the back seat. Don't think the passengers would mind either. I think the rear seats are more of a convenience than a conformity move to reduce the price of the car overall.

bobby35ny ---Ignoring any powertrain facts, if you thought the QRD of the cars you listed was fine, the 2010 Camaro will make you think you died and went to heaven!!

Yeah, I'm going to have to consider the same thing, though I don't have kids yet. I just have to make sure they are wearing long bibs and I have plastic lining the entire backseat of the car cause I am NOT allowing stains back there.

Explain to me why their interiors can have such a high quality, soft touch materials, and vault like solidity when you shut the doors even on a $17k Civic, and you never hear their engineers talk about heated arguements in staff meetings over a $.05 switch.

Not trying to be a jerk here Scott, but perhaps that's a contributing reason why GM is in the shape they are in right now.

I see --

........and you've been in HOW MANY Honda or Toyota meetings?

I'm here to tell you that they, too, play the same games -- and, it could be argued, cut costs in places where we don't -- (go grab a fender on a Civic sometime -- make sure it's in a junk yard - grab it and pull....and watch what happens.....)

We are sweating the details.

We've talked to people and showed them materials and packaging 60 ways to sunday -- are we going to make 100 percent of the public happy? I'd love to think we will -but no one has yet!

The SRT-8's interior sucks compared to the Camaro. You cant even compare. The Challengers interior comes from the charger. There is NO history in the challys interior.

OK....sorry -- but do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?

It's kinda like saying -- well -- IF I could play the piano like Billy Joel -- and IF i could sing like Billy Joel and IF i had as much money as Billy Joel - then I could have slept with Christie Brinkley.

One cannot do Cadillac Interiors at a Camaro price! Cannot be done.

OF COURSE we know of the design.

We purchase -- and drive -- and tear down - and inspect EVERY production vehicle out there........

Again -- price/weight/benefit --

We do not make these decisions in a vacuum.
