I'm getting the manual for a couple of different reasons.

First, I'm bored with automatics...all but 1 of the 9 vehicles I've owned over the past 15 years were automatics and the only one I truly enjoyed driving was the 1 manual, yes - even in traffic. Second, most people (younger, not my elders) can't drive a stick...I figure that alone is worth it to me because my Camaro is less likely to be stolen than someone's with an automatic.

I had an '02 Camaro SS and an '05 Vette. Both Manuals.....My feeling is that if you have a sports car an auto tranny is a blasphemy. Besides the fact that mechanically the manual has less chance of mechanical shortfalls as well as having more gumption off the line...

Ha - good one!

Gettin' an automatic - driving around on Long Island in a stick is only fun on a Sunday morning and this wil be an everyday driver. Sitting in traffic with a stick gets old real quick.

Auto for me. Already have a six speed manual. Knee is not what it used to be and if it gives I can still drive the Camaro.

I am getting a 2LT/RS automatic, I really thought about the stick, I have had Camaros in the past with both and the stick is certainly more fun, but the traffic in Phoenix can be brutal so I decided to make it simple.

lots of sports cars now, mainly in europe, are only offered in auto. the automatic transmissions nowadays are quite a bit better than the slushboxes of old.

Auto. It will be my every day driver and living in the D.C. area there can be lots of stop and go traffic and I just don't want to mess with a manual. I've done it in the past and don't want to. I have remote start on the other car and like it. Remote start is only available with the auto. A good auto will shift better them most drivers. I'm not looking to chirp the tires in every gear.

This is a posotive for me, as I want a decently fuel efficient car that also has some power. So I am getting the auto (and remote start, I love it lol its soo cool!), but I will be doing a lot of city driving. I am not a very "crazy" driver so no LSD won't be an issue for me. But like others have said they are both great trannys, and it all comes down to personal preference.
