that was a pretty sick RJT that was at the event....wow....but in other news....are there any other sixers that are boosting? I am about to go knee deep in a TT setup and just wanted anyone's perspective as far as it pertains to altitude...

Jay Leno did it....but he probably has a few more dollars than you do laying around. Who's doing the work?

Jay Leno's was an STS rear-mount single turbo that made its debut at the SEMA show in 2009 (it made 505-515hp at the crank) but without the fuel delivery upgrade it couldn't push past the 475-500 rwhp mark.....mine will be a Twin Turbo setup that isn't rear mounted....the kit was designed by RX Performance in Florida and there is a Synergy Green V6 "GretchenGotGrowl" is the C5 username located in Little Rock, Arkansas....and it has that RX Performance kit on it already for about 7 months or so and they run 13.5 or less....mine will be the second that this shop has done from my understanding...."Gretchen" is being rebuilt with forged internals, upgraded fuel delivery, rear-end diff, driveshaft/axles to be the fastest V6 Camaro out to date capable of pushing over 500rwhp safely with increased boost and better fuel delivery....mine will be more of a street car since I drive it everyday but will have over 420rwhp to the wheels after all the mods and the build is complete....from my knowledge I'd be the first TT V6 in the Rockies....

Cool. I originally planned on buying a V6 Camaro, but after find that there were zero vendors building or even planning on doing any turbos, superchargers, etc. for the V6, I decided to pony up the money and buy an SS. Good to see that some shops are finally doing stuff for the 6's. There's nothing like a TT setup at max rpm screaming bloody murder!! Hope yours turns out well.

I hear you, that was a problem early on.....but a lot of vendors have really pushed the envelope for exploring new options for the V6.... RMCR here in Springs actually is looking to design a Supercharger set-up for the V6 (I'm more inclined for Twin Turbos)....but to name some offhand.... STS has the rear mount, "IPSJeff" vendor here on C5 that has made a single turbo setup, and "SC2150" another vendor on C5 made a TT setup as well.....it took awhile but there are some serious options for us now.....and there's even some dudes that run 100-200hp shot of spray (Zex, NX Express are the kits that come to mind)...that are absolute beasts for V6's that run 11-12 second 1/4 mile range....I absolutely can't wait for my setup to get done.....even with all the mods I'd be still spending lower than what it would've cost me for a loaded SS (seems cool for me and my wallet as well)...... A Camaro is a Camaro in my book and we all have some sick rides...

I think hellion does turbo kits as well. You might want to check duttweiler preformance as they have allways been in the know for turbos, at least gm v6s.

Hellion only has done V8 Twin Turbos, along with Granetelli and IPS (IPS has done a V6 Twin Turbo as well).........also Duttweiler Performance is so busy that it's nearly impossible to get face time with the man himself (or a knowledgeable tech) besides a secretary who shouts questions across a room.....he definitely is in the know as far as Turbos are concerned but if I'm dishing out money, I want to be very specific in the look and feel of my car and I don't want to be "out of touch" with whoever is doing the build......I'm comfortable with the shop I'm going with, since they have done many things specifically for the LLT motor in the V6 and have a proven Twin Turbo for the LLT V6 Camaro that I want....they also have sick things for the V8 (a 1000-hp SS build is in the works at their shop)

Wow.. this should be a cool build. One thing for sure.. Once you start its hard to stop and it does not matter v6 or v8. The one think I found out on mine was that once you increase your rwhp there are a zillion of associated parts in the drivetrain that also need upgraded so be ready for that. Gretchen is an awesome build for sure. Good luck and keep us all posted on progress. It should be fun.

This is true Larry, the thing I have going for me is my build will mirror Gretchen's in almost every sense, with the exception that mine is a Manual and Gretchen is Auto. The "hot" spots and recommended components were identified in her build and will be applied to mine.....Gretchen is in the shop now to be on a quest to run 10's (which is insane)...the limiting factor (at the time) was fuel delivery to deliver over 500rwhp safely. RX Performance and IPS collaborated to fabricate a custom set-up, which will go on both mine (when it gets there) and Gretchen (already there for round 2). I'll get new rear-end/diff upgrade, driveshaft, axles and other things that were identified in "round 1" for Gretchen's build. We both want mine to push the envelope as well, but it still be a daily driver, so I think close to 500rwhp is possible for me...depending on how much Boost I'm going to run and getting everything dialed in. I will keep a journal of sorts once my car ships, and I'll keep everyone posted with pictures of what's going on during my build
