We had a great turn out at Bennigan's Grill & Tavern on Merle Hay last night, Dan was there with both the Camaro and his wife's GTO, and I had the Camaro shined up and standing tall. Some of you owners of 5th Gen's need to check this show out on Wednesday evenings (4:30-9:00 or so).

would love to come to some of these, but middle of the week and 100 miles away, cant happen. so this i hope is enough notice to let you guys know about a car show in iowa city at Kinnick Stadium on july 23 from 8-3.

I would like to, but Camaro is still at the shop trying to stop a leaking rim....May end up with a new set of wheels after it is all said and done. I find it hard to beleave that a wheel company as big as Giovanni is, that they don't have any replacement wheels available. If the weather holds, I may stop out in the Vette.

Sorry to hear about the wheels. I find it odd as well that they don't have any stock. Good luck with the rim situation and look forward to seeing you at the Grounds.

I got good news yesterday, they found me a replacement set of wheels from Giovanni that I should have in about a week. These are different then my first set, but look great and should stand out better. I also ordered a brake caliper cover set from MGP that will go on when the new wheels get mounted.

Does anyone have a recommended air filter system for the V6 engine ????

Hey Bob,

That's great news on the rims. Post up some pictures when you get them. I am on the second group-buy list for the Vararam. I can not wait for it to ship and get here. The general consensus, from what I have seen, is that Injen or Vararam (from pre production dynos) give you the most gains performance-wise but CAI and Roto-Fab have the best looking kits. K&N's are nice but the 'Air Charger' system can lead to CELs but the 'Typhoon' kit does very well. These do not provide as much gains but still noticeable. Good luck with your decision. I will be there saturday. I dont have a classic car just my Camaro. GoodGuys should have a class for us !

Yes. 72 or older. But I have seen pics of newer cars in GGs magazine. I asked if I could run my Camaro last year at Friday Night Drags that GGs have in Joliet, and they said no.
