Question about TPW - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey,

I'm reading alot about "My dealer told me it will be built on such and such day", but my dealer told me that the TPW is just that. An entire week. It can be built on Monday morning and be shipped out by the end of the week, or it can be built friday afternoon and be held until the next week to ship. How are these dealer able to give exact days. He sais there's no way for that to happen.

They are correct. TPW is just that, Target Production Week.

Agreed. As I've said in numerous posts- even my order sitting at 3400 (flame on) doesn't have a TPW associated with it when the INDIVIDUAL order is looked up. Once again, what people are seeing, dealers included, FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD, is TPP- target production PERIOD. That shows up on the dealer's screen where he tags the order to be pulled based on his weekly allocation report. Now, if someone can show me a report that looks like the one below with TPW filled in, I'm anxious to see it.

No, only at GM because I agree it (or TPP) is showing up on the dealers' One Pass screens. So why isn't it translating to the actual orders?
