Got this today from my dealer:
"Great News.......We got a concensus today. Your car should be ordered in the next couple weeks....."

Now, if I've been paying attention in class, this means that they were allotted at least one car and have requested at least one. So by saying it should be ordered in the next couple of weeks, are they referring to the final allocation report for April?

And that final report will show which week in april?

I also asked about the introductory pricing and sent a copy of the email we all got last month. They said, "Rick read the email below that you sent to me.....YES you are getting the introductory price."

Zombie, cars are produced on a weekly basis and submitted weekly on Thursday - Saturday in advance as allowed by GM. the timeline is:

Submit-------------Build
Mar/12-14............Apr/6-10
Mar/19-21............Apr/13-17
Mar/26-28............Apr/20-24
Apr/ 2-5...............Apr/27-5/1

So, your dealer and mine will be informed weekly by GM which "submit" period our cars may be submitted for production, and they will then be produced during the "build" week. We should see our cars about six weeks later. I believe the final report is for the final submissions for the monthly build....in this case just prior to April 2 - 5.

arrgh. Too many terms; consensus, allocations, etc.!
On the 4th RPO said consensus had another week to go, so yesterday or today consensus was "submitted" by my guys based on GM's "offer? Or did they just got the alloted Qty today and they have another week to submit how many they want ? Heck, I just want to have an idea where to put my downpayment in my budget program.

This actually isn't a very tough question since the train traveling east out of Boston will go directly into the Atlantic Ocean. Anything leaving the Oshawa plant will arrive at it's destination first.

So, what happens after Tuesday? What is my dealer referring to when they said they "got a consensus" and my car "should be ordered in a couple of weeks?" Is that the final allocation report?

Siena is still at 3000 as of this morning. Hopefully, the TPW will show where it's supposed to by Wednesday.

We know from the final allocation that this order was on that the TPW is 3/23-3/27.

Oh well. This is how it is.

I completed my consensus by Friday 3/13 (a little early). Now GM will beg me to take more units on Monday (no chance). Of course I will ask for many more Camaros (no shot of getting any, I'm sure). Then the next reports like "Estimated Shipments" and "Final Allocation by Week" should be available shortly thereafter.

By "beg me to take more units on Monday" I'm assuming you mean other models besides Camaros....correct?

That is correct. It is called "reconsensus". I don't even know if that's a real word. Then after that, it's called a "re-reconsensus" and so on.

Remember if we don't ask for product, they have to slow down or shut down plants.

Hence, the mess that GM is in right now. It's a viscious cycle and all starts with consumers coming in and buying cars. We need 'em and then we order them.
