Try being around Camaro's every day of the week !!! I help build them , wear shirts with them, have jackets with Camaro on them , my office is plastered with Camaro pictures and posters , everyone i know outside of work wants a piece of the 5thGen....its 24/7 Camaro with me. My wife has been hearing about this car for 2 yrs stright . And gosh darn it i'll have to go back to the plant Monday morning and be part of the launch team !!!!

I guess life without the Camaro just would'nt be the same here !!

Well???? Surely red was only meant as appeasement and you intend to change it to black. Have you convinced her yet....or is the dealer going to make a last minute mistake?


My wife knows me well enough to know resistance if futile, so she really hasn't said much. She does know though, she can have virtually any car she wants too, she's just satisfied with her Jag for now. Does look over my shoulder a lot when I'm on Camaro5 as though she's not entirely convinced I'm only chatting with post whores.

I would love to be able to be around them all the time and building them. That would probably be my dream job...lol... I have been talking about this one since they debuted the concept back when was it? early 06? I have been addicted to Chevrolet since I was able to start buying cars. Just look at the cars I have had... I know i missed some :flag2:

The funny and best part about this all is after my being the decision maker about what cars to purchase, my wife said this time around she is making the decision - case closed!
She decided it was going to be a Mustang - case closed!
Mmmmm - meanwhile after I saw the concept Camaro I knew it was going to be our next car, but how to convince her the choice of the Camaro was going to be hers?!?!
I started to leave very subtle hints about the new Camaro having better safety features, better handling,more comfortable interior, newer colors, oh and a more efficient engine with better gas milage, fewer emissions and well, it does it with more power.
Around the same time she reunited with a friend at a Chevy dealership who she was kidding around that she was considering a new car. Short version of the story, he had a couple of early order Camaro cancellations and offered the spot for her.
Low and behold - "she" got the car of her choice....

My girlfriend is an absolute trooper! She supports my 24-7 Camaro fever, and she would not let me go to Indy without her last September. She wants to fly to NY to pick it up with me, but that isnt cost effective. She's already got her Camaro clothing picked out...

My wife was all into the new Camaro, until I told her that I was ordering the manual six speed. She was helping with the colors and everything and when I told her she clammed up, and walked away! This is my car, and I am making the final decisons about it, but was dissappointed that she was so upset about it. Okay, before you think I am mean spirited and imposng my will on her, let me tell you what she drives. She drives a 2001 Corvette convertible, with auto trans. When we got it I asked her to go manual trans. on the 'Vette, but she wanted auto, so being that it was her ride, I didn't make a fuss over it. She knows how to drive a stick too, but doesn't want to, so, its cool, her 'Vette is auto. She has only 13K miles on that sucker! I like driving the 'Vette, but everytime I do drive it, I wish it were a manual tranny. It's been a few months now since I made the decision to go manual, and she is okay with it now. She shows some enthusiasm for the Camaro again, and yeah, I get the "your on that site again" comment quite often too. I guess I talk about it too much, but no apologies here. This will be my 3rd Camaro, but first since the mid 1970's! My order was pulled on thursday the 12th, so I am jazzed and ready to go. 2SS/RS ABM with gray interior, sun roof, and polished alum wheels. Will add stripes, CAI, and catback after I get it home. I daydream about my camaro until it comes now

Nice! I have tried every trick in the book nothing seems to make it any better for me but from what i have been reading the one that i would want is on constraint so by the time its up maybe itll be better (probably not) But either way I am getting this one way or the other
