My comment to people that try and sell our cars at prices like that is simply "You know, it's still a Camaro"

It's not a dig by any means. I had a Ford dealer once try to stick me with a 900/mo note on 2005 Saleen 281 w/o the SC.. I told him, "No thanks man.. You do realize that under all the Saleen packaging, that it's just a Mustang, right?"

Our cars aren't supposed to be six figure toys. They're supposed to be the every-man/woman's hot rod/toy. What the hell is the point of making a car targeted at a market that simply can't afford to drop 150K on a car.

I love my Camaro and all -- but, seriously, it's getting out of hand. I don't buy in to the whole "1 of 69" thing. That might be nice for some, but that's not really going to make me feel better about wasting that much money on a rolling chemistry experiment with a computer.

I would take that kind of money and buy a Super Air Nautique 230 AND a F-250 Super Duty 4x4 with a 6" lift to pull it.

Motorweek tested this exact car about a month ago and it is awesome. I have it on my DVR and still watch it from time to time. I think there's some poor quality replays of it on YouTube.

SLP puts out a very well put together car, you just have to have the money to afford it.

Looks good though.

Yes! I completely agree. I cant remember what thread it was that i was reading that people are upset about the Parts of the "Limited" Camaro from SLP are being sold separately... I for one think the SLP ZL1 Camaro is awesooooome, much better than than Chevys ZL1 but cheaper to do ourselves considering i have a mechanic for a husband. Your are paying for the name, id rather pay for looks and to keep my color Huge fan of SLP considering i used to live in Jersey but still not paying for that about even if i was a billionaire. Its more fun to start things from the ground up with a sense of accomplishment.

Indeed. You not only need $150K...you need more than that, because with the reserve not met, the 150K bidder isn't gonna get the car.

And to top it off, the seller doesn't even have a past history!

I'd definitely get a Ferrari 430 or Lamborghini Gallardo. If the reserve isn't met yet, I guarantee the final price will be close to that of a new Lambo's.

For 150 I think I'd rather take a lightly used V8 Vantage and an LS with a twin turbo 454 dropped in...or a house

Say I'm not a "true" car enthusiast, but even if I was filthy rich I can't imagine a car so awesome it would be worth over $100,000.

For God's sake, the car comes with a faux leather portfolio. Do you realize how many fauxs were killed unnecessarily?
