I just put a Vmax TB on my GXP a few days ago and it's a direct swap ... I guess an LS3 is an LS3 regardless of the car it's in.

As an aside, I felt no difference at all but I think my throttle response is as good as it's gonna get with the Sprint Booster on stage 2.

Borla cat-back, H&R springs, & Sprintbooster & I love it!

Lucif3r,

I do not have anymore NEW TB's available right now, but may in the near future.

For what it is worth, I would verify what TB you have on your car, be it a silver or brass colored TB blade. I tuned a 2009 G8 in FL a bit ago and though it was a 2009 by VIN, it had a silver blade TB whihc is generally a 2005-08 model. This 2009 G8 had a build date of 4/2008 which technically is a 2008.

So I would pull the air intake off and verify the TB blade color before ordering a TB from me or anyone else.

For everyone else, I do have three standard VMax CNC TB's that should hit my door later this week and are available.

Thanks.

Thanks Guys

Three more TB's are coming in later this week as an FYI and I have 5 more new TB's on the way. The new TB's may be about 2-3 weeks out.

If I choose to get a new TB and also keep my core TB can you tell me the total price shipped?

Thanks

I reflected the cost in the first thread, but the cost outright for a new TB with no core return is $414.

As of today, June 22nd, I have 4 standard used TB;s ready to go and 3 (out of 5) NEW units to be ready by late next week.

I will be out of town from Friday, June 24th till Monday, July 11th. For this reason I suggest paying via Paypal as I can still process orders and Core Refunds while I am away from the office. CC orders will have to wait till I return and all Payapl orders will be processed first during this time.

Thanks all

Okay folks, I have two used TB's and two NEW TB's still available as of today, Thursday June 30th.

I will also have another 5-8 used TB's ready next week.

I am still out of town till July 11th, but if you pay via Paypal I can still process the orders.

Thanks and have a great holiday!!

Ok, got mine today so now it's dumb question time - Why are the ripples (ports?) not uniform around the entire inner circumference? Is that the design or? Again - forgive my ignorance. How tight do you tighten the 4 connecting bolts?

Thanks for any help on this. I want to install it myself Saturday

Thank you KARBON

ramsman34,

The ripples or CNC marks do not go all the way around and the area where it is flat does not need or get and material removed via the CNC machine. That is an area that is hand finished.

On the bolt tightening, you will notice upon removal that they are not very tight. Torque spec is 89 in/lb or 10Nm which is quite light.

All in all a very simple install. I want to say someone did a step by step thread here somewhere.

Thanks

Mike Norris
