On my best run of 11.056 I trapped 137 mph. But the DA was about 3800' better. The track here only preps about 200' I bust loose on every gear change after 1-2.

Went to the track tonite, DA was 6975, and the prep not so good. Made three passes, 11.3, 11.2 &11.1, could not break into the 10's.

Need more set up time with the suspension, it is coming up too quick in the rear and that is when I break traction.
What are your settings?

Hey I found a video one of the racers posted on Youtube of my car running on Friday! It was the best of the night at 11.14 @ 131 mph. If you watch closely you can see the smoke from the tires when I bust loose on the 2 - 3 shift.
Here is the link:

Great run Mike!! Good thing you didn't go with bigger gears. My fastest run was with 3.45s. The 3.70s nitrous and high hp didnt seem to do well with grabbing traction of the line.

Thanks! I know what you mean on the gears, any more and it would be like skating at WOT. When we get some decent weather I will spring for a full lane prep. The track only puts down VHT for about 200', with a 1.5 60' time it should be running in the 6's for the 1/8 I am at about 7.1. Then I think a low 10 will be possible.
I think I am going to go ahead and add a cage, another forum member had a misshap and flipped his car at 100+ mph on the strip this last weekend in Sealy TX. Had it not been for the cage he would not have walked away without injury.

Thanks Pete! Before I fun again I will get with you on tightening the rear bounce. That just sounds wrong somehow.

Knowing me I have the settings backwwards.

Pretty cool Video Mike! About time you shared - J/K!

You very well may have set the lower rear shock backwards.. I did... and I forget which way they need to be turned. I think they follow the top adjuster for direction.

I know this is the last thing that any real man will ever do, but sometimes it is required. Here are the instructions.

Rebound Red or Silver

Bound Black

Thanks Pete, This will help a lot!

Wow MWS, AWESOME video!!!! You'll definitely be in the 10's soon. We've just been busy working on the house projects, but I'm going to sneak away to SMS track Saturday for sure. After the cars and coffee, they're having a local drift competition. Don't worry, I'm just going to watch that!

Thanks 2010! I hope we can get into the 10's quickly!
I can only imagine how busy you are with the house building. Hang in there, it will all be worth it! Enjoy the track!

I am going to hit the strip Friday if the weather is nice, maybe this one will be the one!

I am going to hit the road next week for a couple of weeks of R & R. Well it will be working also, damn cell phone and computer have to travel with us. Funny last year I could not wait to get the plant back to work, now after 8 months of 24 hours a day, I am tired.
Still have another 2 months to go, then maybe a three week break then it will start all over again.
