Exhaust options ad GFX? What would you do?
Title says it all. I have the L99 with GFX and want more rumble. I hate the idea of buying a pricy aftermarket kit with fancy tips only to have to cut them off - I assume that would be what would have to happen. It's a commuter so I really don't need cat back as I value my warranty but could be convinced if I could make it affordable. Not really looking for hp just a little more sound and I don't want to spend a fortune.
TIA, Matt

You will need the tips from MBRB unless you want rattle too with the rumble....

Oh. Maybe I should just get the mufflers cut out, then and leave the tips the way they are? Or cutouts?
ARe there any GFX specific exhausts? Matt

MBRP and Stianless Works have very nice kits for the ground effects cars. Others use smaller tips or have you reuse your stockers. MBRP has the nice rectangle tips and SW uses quad tips. We carry both and have had some very satisfied customers.

Looks nice but why is that better than just cutting out the mufflers and opting for straight pipes? Again I'm really only interested in axel back so headers, X pipes and sport cats are of little interest to me at their price point. I don't plan on a tune as I don't want to risk throwing codes, etc... Been there, done that. And tunes can lead to warranty issues and this is my driver so I need the coverage. Thanks for the advice. If I settle one something I'll be sure to give you guys a call.

Just be very carefull, if your not doing tips make sure you at least do turn downs or cut the pipes way back, before i got my tips on my exhaust i ran them without for about 200 miles, and the heat from the exhausts actually made my paint bubble on the gfx peices and started to warp it, Long story short, hot exhaust will melt rear diffusers, so make sure your new exhuast was far away

Just go with the MBRP kit for factory GFX. They will have the full cat back with square tips that fit perfectly. No worries of any CEL or any warranty issues. Plus they have a nice polished finish on their stainless kits.

As long as your doing bolt-on's and your not touching the computer you should be fine! If i could suggest the corsa cat-back I think you'd love it. Its drone free, quiet in the cabin but you step on and it sounds like a t-rex coming to eat small animals.

You can get a 4" tip in the GFX without rattle if it's set right. There is a nice dimple for the tip to sit in. I've had JBA's comp axle back on for 18 months with no issues
