Ok every dealer is getting a V6 by May 6th and rumor has it that they are to keep them, not sell them and use them to kick off the celebration on the 6th. How many dealers would not sell the car if someone came in and was willing to overpay for the car. I would suggest that GM has come up with a fantastic efficient way to market and sell these new Camaro's. Send the dealers a car that they can not sell. Put it on the showroom floor and take orders and only produce what is sold. This would not only improve profits but it would also minimize capitol investment in unsold stock. After a while perhaps six months or so ship the cars back and have them certified and put them back out for sale. Come on guys these cars are coming out of the factory they are not being shipped up to Canada to park them in rows in the parking lot. These are real production cars. They are not for sale. But I would bet a tank of gas that they end up on showroom floors before the sixth for the big celebration. OK thats my thoughts, what do you all think about that idea.
One problem there are 3 SS in this pack.

I hope you're right. Waiting to see if fbodfather shoots the idea down.

Those are the executive cars or show cars. I thought I saw more than 3 but the six is the vast majority. Think about it the constraint and all it really fits and if the dealers had no cars to show until Q3 because they have sold out of their allocations what would they do. All us real Camaro fans ordered sight unseen but for the average joe car buyer he will need to see and touch one. The only way to keep the dealers with one on the floor is to send them one that they cant sell. Hmmmm. Maybe we need a Warren report on this conspiricy...lol

You do realize that the cars are being built in Canada, right?

Most will be returned to Detroit -- gone over with a fine tooth comb -- retrofitted with the latest and greatest 'stuff' -- and then sent to the GM Auction where dealers may bid on them as "used Divisional company vehicles"....so many of them will reach happy owners.

Others may be used for testing at Milford when they return to Detroit -- and some may be used for 'other' purposes....

Here's my problem with the assessment that these are CTF cars. There has got to be well over 200 cars in that lot now, maybe pushing over 300. Is everyone going to tell me that GM is going to have a CTF of 300 cars? Someone else on here did the math already, but that's somewhere between $6M and $7.5M in cars (that's retail price not cost, but still).

Well one good thing no matter what they are ...they will help fill up the rail and trucks faster so the " ordered cars" don't sit there as long waiting for a full load to leave.
