The Doors may not be playing tonight, but I did actually attend a Buffalo Springfield (another band that played on The Strip) concert, with Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, and Neil Young, a couple of weeks ago. It brought back some good memories of the days when First Gen Camaros were new.

I said 47 a long time ago, everyone laughed at me. NOW, just maybe the performance numbers wont be that great and with Ford coming out with 600+ hp, Maybe just maybe Chevy wants to lower the price to move them out?

I don't have any information on pricing, and GM has already stated that they decide price absolutely last in the process, so it is possible that no pricing has been decided. If pricing has been decided, then this price would make much more sense as a holdback price rather than a retail price. I have a lot of trouble believing GM could potentially sell a car engineered this way for almost as low as the sticker price on a loaded 2SS.

As much as I would like it to be that cheap I have to agree with you. Way to much tech going into this car!

Seriously though, 43k is possible but I just can't see GM bringing the price down that low even if they could produce it for that amount. About the only situation where I see it being that low is if they're afraid they can't outperform the GT500 and feel the need to place the car against the SRT8 instead.

I am pretty sure I read that the ZL1 was based off the 2SS package. So its going to be at least 10k+ more than a 2SS

The dealers know diddly-squat.

Here's what you do. Let them put their money where their mouth is. Contact this dealer and tell him you'll purchase the ZL1 for $5K over MSRP if the base price MSRP turns out to be 43K. But IF the base price turns out to be more than 43K (significantly more of which I have no doubt) then that dealer will sell you the ZL1 at $5K below MSRP. Get it in writing. He'll never do it. Don't want to risk 5K? Just bet the guy a steak dinner. Base MSRP will be VERY close to GT500 money, bank it. You won't lose.

CTS-V coupe has for both auto and manual. It is a pretty good bet that ZL1 will have it as well. Automatic for sure, manual could have a slight chance but I would doubt it. Figure it will be there.

Upon review at the EPA website, CTS-V in auto and manual: 12/18 and 14/19. Doesn't look too good for the manual. BUT... I see the GT500 skirts the GG tax though.
