For all the people that got into the group buy/s, if you didn't expect problems going in, I think you only fooled yourself. This is a brand new product and with every other brand new product, there some kinks that need to be worked out.

As far as performance, I let my buddy who has a V8 drive my car with the stock and then with the intake (this was before i fixed it and getting more air flow). His first words were, "Does VR make one for the V8 too??". As for me, I'm very satisfied with this product.

As someone said before, I won't give this product back.

The best thing about this is, this intake has been delayed for soooo long because they wanted to "get it right." Looks like all that time waiting really paid off, lol.
Hmm.. I seem to remember the same thing about the Camaro. Delayed until 2010 model year and still had issues.

Well just got back from my drive and the VR lives up to the hype. My MRT V1 sounds crazy, car just wants to race up the RPM. And 2nd gear already had a good bite when wot but now it's REALLY BITING. I get -8* compared to before. And gas while not doing wot but still getting on it shows a 20.5mpg. Compared to the 18-19.5 mpg I was seeing before. Regardless the issue with the TB fit that I even had and I was # 4 on the list. The product delivers 100%. And remember everyone this is the first batch. So yes issues will pop up here and there just like the other intake company's have had in the past. Seems like VR support is on it. I had a hard time getting mine on but was worth the trouble with these results. I muscled mine in there and some did different things to make it fit. So all ain't bad I guess in my book I like a challenge.

No regrets here, I don't mind a little tweaking on a new product. The experience and feedback of the early adopters can only make for a better intake going forward.

Well, only if you try not to declare it.
I often get stuff shipped to the US. I declare it it on the way back but I save a ton on shipping and brokerage fees!

Left a message with my friend / salesman up at my local dealership to see if I could get someone in the svc dept to get it installed for me. I was rather looking forward to putting it on, myself; but with all of the errors I've been seeing, here, I'd rather have Chevy have their hands in it. They've always done right by me, before, and treated both my car and me very well.

Both dyno charts (pg 15 & 16) were from the design shown in the first pictures. There were slight variations between the two prototype intakes (that I have dyno graphs for) that were run at that time. The production design is very similar to and builds upon the prototypes that were dyno'd. The visual changes on the top end are new but the business end (lower filter housing / tube) is pretty much the same general design. It is not a completely new design but a refinement of the prototypes that were done.

Even if they install it, you still may experience some of the issues a few of us have had. depends on your car i guess.

Exclamation VR Tech is your friend!!

Everyone -

Please take advantage of calling the VR Tech line if you run into issues with your install. This is probably the quickest way to get help with your particular setup. I know Steve tries to monitor everyone's posts on this thread, as do I. Unfortunately, neither of us can be on here all of the time.

VR Tech has a lot more hands on time with this intake and can probably troubleshoot your fitment problems better than I can. I don't mind helping out if I can and when I'm online but calling VR is probably going to get you a faster response time.

I'm glad some of you have been able to get your issues resolved today so you can now go and enjoy driving with the intake. As for bmorecam...I haven't seen one buckle like yours but I can only assume it was already warm when you tightened down the clamp. Glad to hear that VR is going to take care of it for you. Maybe Trifecta will be able to get you an adjusted tune in the meantime.

What you mean you need a new bottom? Are you saying bottom end? I will have dyno slips and track times this week. Going to Vengeance first for some pulls early in the day this coming week to beat the heat. Then Friday hitting the track. Installing my Barton shifter in the Am while it's cool out in my garage to complete the perfect set up (in my eyes)! Till I go LT's and catback.
