Chevrolet Customer Svc - Success Stories?

I know Jeff has been on here for a few months trying to be our advocate in getting problems resolved and I appreciate it.

What I don't see is people reporting any success stories as a result of Jeff's help. Not saying there aren't any and this post is in NO WAY intended to bash Jeff and his efforts.

I was just hoping to read some warm and fuzzy stories about how Jeff's efforts helped resolve a members issue.

I too would like to read some also... Otherwise he's just another poster. Most of the people on this forum give basically the same kind of information that he provides.

I know I never got any positive results. I finally started taking my car to a different dealer that was able to resolve my issues and even fixed one issue myself. My original dealer reimbursed me for parts...

Customer service kept telling me the same thing "We are working with the Dealer to resolve your issue" that's it. Even Jeff followed up with me and said the same thing. One time they even responded with "All new vehicles do that" for one issue I had. Funny thing is my Silverado I bought a month later didn't have the same issue. That issue is now resolved....

I have daily meetings at work and specifically told them not to call me between 8:30am and 10:00am. Guess when they called me, EVERYTIME!!!

Jeff might have good intentions and I applaud him for going the extra mile on the site. However they don't seam to be very effective in resolving customer's issues...

They are with a huge corporation, run by bean counters. (and politicians) Even the best Cust Service guy can't help if the honchos don't care. And they don't.

I spoke with Jeff, and the only thing I was offered was a chance to file a "official compliant". I don't know what I was really looking for, maybe an I'm sorry, but I didnt get anywhere. Unfortunately I will just need to find a new dealer.

No joy here either. Customer Service says they will help you...but they have zero ability to get the dealer to fix the problems. I told the guy who calls me that the only thong he can do to help would be to fix the damn car....which, of course, he cannot.

Has anyone tried going after their dealers? GM does not own dealerships. A lot more customer service issues would be more completely resolved if we targeted the people doing the work.

I have been driving GM vehicles for almost 20 years and have never had a customer service problem while getting warranty work done!

I mentioned this in a previous thread. I'm part of a GM family so I get the employee pricing (GMS Opt-1). The dealership in Alaksa wanted to fight me about getting a car from them with this pricing. I have a friend that owns a certified GM dealership in Michigan and an Uncle who work(ed) for GM. I kept telling them that I was entitled to this and they kept wanting to argue. Once I told them that I wanted the reasoning for me not being able to get this discount in writting so I can talk to GM about it... all of the sudden they wanted to "double check" on me being able to get GMS Opt-1... and imagine that... I got my G8 GT at the price that I should've

I didn't have to "go after" them.. because they decided to do what was right. This wasn't exactly warrenty work or anything. I've had problems but they never go so bad that I had to go to GM directly. These have been dealership issues... not GM directly

There's your miscue. You are not ENTITLED to anything, even the GM Employee Vehicle Allowance. You may QUALIFY for it, but it's up to the dealer to play ball or not. If the dealership chooses not to participate in the program, they don't have to. However, they cannot pick and choose customers to honor or not honor. It's everyone or no-one. They participate in the program or not at all. Only time I've ever seen a deviation from that was the 35th LE Camaro SS. No Employee Discounts were supposed to be honored on that particular car.

Glad things worked out for you, but keep that in mind. That's why I went to Texas to get our car. The dillholes in town wanted $5K over sticker and NO E.V.A. 's. (Employee Discount back then, which was a lot better deal than it is now). We got our discount and GM Extended Family Card discount and actually paid a little less than GM Employee Pricing.

Unfortunately for GM, they mis-named their Customer Service. It should be "Issues/Complaints Black Hole" as the success stories are FAR outweighed by the "nothing ever happened but waste my time" stories. Sure, open a trouble ticket. So what? If nobody actually has any horsepower to get things straightened out, then it's just a "whine line".

I have been driving GM vehicles since 1999. I bought 3 used cars and purchased 4 brand new cars. Yes, I have purchased from some horrible dealerships that lie to you. At one my window regualtor was broke and they knew it but kept on lying to me when it should be covered undered my factory warranty. Then I wanted to purchase a new vehicle and they told me I needed a co-signer they couldn't get me a loan when I had the GMAC approval certificate in my hand It was funny walked into other dealer and got me a car with the same certificate less than a week later no co-signer needed. I can go on and on. Then I found a dealership I REALLY liked they closed up due to the Pontiac line leaving in 2009. So then I found another awesome dealer not in my town but in the next county over. I decided to try them out because my old sales manager works there now. I couldn't be happier. THEY ARE AWESOME! They have helped me out with any concern I had on the camaro and have corrected it or fixed it for me. It's pretty cool they have done my projects for me halo fogs you name it
