So you didnt stain cloth seats? I want to do my stitching red and I have cloth seats

Look at the last pic he posted. There is some staining.

there is some staining, but unless you have your face within about a foot of it or closer, you'll never see it

Did mine today.
I tried the elmers but even after a few seconds I had to scrub like hell to get the extra off and I wasn't laying it on thick like in the videos posted previously.
So I got some fine tip fabric dye pens and finished it off.
Any extra was easily wiped of with just my finger.
It's only dried about an hour and I tried to get it to rub off or stain a cloth but it seems to be pretty set.

I did my cgm with red sharpie. but the trick to keep it clean is wet a cloth somewhat , then wipe lightly before and after you paint threads, this will help to get the stitch to absorb the color of the sharpie then wipe excess off after you apply sharpie..have fun...should take about 1 - 1.5 hrs..

Beware, it will fade, especially on daily drivers. Had to redo mine 3 times already.

Tried Fabric-Mate, and Elmer's... Both fade pretty quickly :/

I have had a few members contact me already about the same thing. As long as your committed to keep updating the color all is good. It is a lot of work but does save $$

it does not seem to be fading.

but, i do have a friend that is an upholsterer that said he could restitch the white thread with bright orange for me at a good price..

im going to do it i think.

If I do the bleach on the Q-tip for the stitches...will it hurt the leather?
