It caught me off guard the first day I had the intake in. The corner I go around every day, I couldn't get the back end to fly out. Now, doesn't even take much throttle to get it to fly out.

Yeah Vince needs to get that tune settled down.

I just hope everyone reading this thread realizes that they won't have the same issue as you. Your tune is far from stock!

Yeah weather still looks good for Thursday. As long as it stays nice, I'll be there. I put down a 14.8 stock. Sounds about right for an auto with sunroof and RS package.

Get that tune settled and make a road trip... imo. Hahaha.

Hey guys,

So I managed to put a few miles on it yesterday. First impressions are very good!
First off, the sound of the intake is more refined now. Noticeably deeper (not hugely, but definitely) and "racier", for want of a better term.
Power definitely increased too, it picks up faster and smoother from about 1500 to 3500 rpm. After that the car starts to roar very nicely!

Keep in mind this is with my fitment issues, which will be resolved in a week or two! I can hardly wait til then!!!

Well worth the money and wait! Thanks VR!

I'd be interested to know the average HP / RWHP gain seen by the various people who received the intake.

Don't like the look of it and get the same performance from my K and L Typhoon which was installed by a GM performance shop in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Combined with the Magnaflow axleback exhaust, I get great sound and 15 horsepower added. Improved gas mileage speaks for itself and the added torque is very noticeable off the stop lights!

if theyre at about 15, they have 25 more orders to fill before moving onto the second group buy. Which buys me more time to figure out the way

So I can get a decent time estimate: When did the orders start to ship for the group buy? (ie is their production speed 15 in a month? 3 weeks?)

Will this thread implode when it hits 100 pages?
Seriously, I saw a claim from Varaam about 75 pages ago for 25hp. Has this been verified? How many before and after dyno's have we got, and what are we averaging?

Thank-you in advance for your answers, if I had to read all the way thru.

Look... glad your happy with your setup, and quite frankly, any one of the reputably named CAI's out there will get you a decent increase in power on this V6.

Where your statement went wrong is when you said "...get the same performance...". You don't know that for a fact. I'm not saying the Vararam is way way better (we've only seen one decent dyno thus far and no 1/4 mile times)...but you still can't make those claims.

But so far, the Vararam appears to be right at, or THE performance king.

Just sayin.
