New SS at the dealership.....again. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'm new to this forum and have a new SS I bought last Thursday. I had the GM GFX put on at the dealership, painted and installed. That same night I noticed a really crappy exhaust rattle that only happened when I had it in reverse, just backing out of the garage. It bugged me so I took it in the next day where they claim they looked at it and "fixed" it. I called BS on it right then and sure enough it did it again so I waited til today to take it back. I also discovered this morning the door panel on the passenger side was kind of lose and I could just push it back to the door. The Svc Mgr told me today that it's because of a squeak problem they had from last year and they had to come up with something to prevent the squeaks so that's just how it is. Has anyone else had these issues. FYI- I am a FEMALE, but I'm not &*(&% stupid!!! Pisses me off! I've waited for this car for so long. I want to drive it NOW! GRRRR

Unfornately as a female, we have to watch our backs. No, you shouldnt have to deal with anything. It's a BRAND NEW CAR! If you're not happy with your dealership, find another one. I had too. Had a nasty run in with a manager over the dealership damaging my car and he threatned to steal my damn car!!! I found another local dealership and I am very happy with them.

the ss is okay but the v6 is almost as fast for half the price and looks the same ... it's 2011 V8s are dead

Now, back to the topic. OP I would definitely find another dealership. I went through 3 dealerships before I found one that didn't treat me like a kid driving daddy's car.

Very true... and it doesn't only happen to women... some service managers are just sleezy...
