Don't get the Caliper Covers - they look terrible and blatantly fake (Just my opinion - although I can guarantee I'm not the only one with that opinion).

If you're on a tight budget go the caliper paint route - if you want to do it properly, spend $300 and get them powdercoated by Mike on here - trust me, it is totally worth it and he can do most colours.

His work is second to none - see this thread :

my rotor hubs where silver and rusted til this past weekend, got the rust off using steel wool to prep them and used some etch locking black primer and some hi temp paint
to seal the new look, while I was in there I noticed the Brembo Calipers orig black is fading fast and next on the list of things to clean up.

Kwik they look good, and moder07 I totally agree with you about powder coating but I didn't have the time to be down without a car. So eventually ill get another set and send them off to be coated by mike.

You could have done the exchange route though to minimize downtime.

Still, your painted ones look great and much cheaper too to be fair!

Its the caliper covers that should be avoided at all costs IMO - those things are awful

Nothing fake about them. Candy Apple Red and easy to get a micro soft cloth on them. I can tell you there were no other Camaros at the 800-car Ontario Camaro Nationals with them and a lot of people were asking about them. Cuts down the brake dust a lot on the rims......I haven't heard anyone tell me they looked fake LOL that's a new one!

It's just my opinion - there really is no comparison between a Caliper Cover and the real deal - as you can see from the comparison pics below - a Caliper Cover screams fake if you ask me - it doesn't matter what I think though - if you like the covers then that's cool

The reduced brake dust part is a benefit yes - I just got Ceramic pads for that benefit instead though.

Anyway, back on topic - Painted Calipers done correctly like the OP are great, but I'd still go the powdercoating route if its an option because its a more durable finish and you can get Custom Colours such as IOM and ZR1 Blue

Great pics. It really shows how the covers look up close and personal. Stick with the real deal. That's my opinion.
