I have a dumb question. I heard on one bolt cams that the original cam bolt is a one time use bolt and has to be thrown away once it is removed and the new bolt from the kit HAS to be installed, something about torque tension bolt or something like that is only good for one time use.

Same with the crank bolt, if my learnin' serves me correctly. Torque to yield, 1 time use.

On the cam bolt washer or shoulder is there any evidence of the pin making contact as the bolt was turning during the torqueing down? If you can follow that...

That's interesting, there is a mark there and I believe photos have shown the pin is that relative position. Did they use a ft lb plux xx degrees? How many degrees is that mark around that bolt?

Then its chicken and egg time, did the mark on the bolt happen when it was torqued or when the pin broke? If it happened when it was torqued (which I am leaning to) then there was insufficient clamping force on the gear forcing the pin to bear more stress than it was designed for.
