Buddy, your an ignorant single minded person. Search first.
Secondly, If all you care about is where the Camaro is made to fuel anger, check out where alot of the parts for the camaro came from. Yes, ASSEMBLED IN CANADA, using american parts made in america. Its not just Canadian families being fed but American families too.
Is your only "NOT MADE IN AMERICA" rant on the camaro or other items like clothing, food, toys, etc? When you vacation, do you stay in America or go to places like Canada, Mexico, Cuba...ooops your not allowed, we are, sorry, to spend your money? Will you stop watching hockey because we got one of our teams back from a non-supporting American fan base?
Look at the big picture and be thankful the people are buying the car so it isn't killed off again!!!!

Mike,
I'm so happy with my Camaro, I wouldn't have had it built anyplace other than Oshawa, Ontario because then it wouldn't be that exact same car I'm so happy with.

Everyone should look for and buy Made in USA or UNION MADE products whenever possible. (This is just my opinion. Not trying to start a war).
Some unions r good and beneficial, however the UAW is not one of them.

No hostility my friend , please don't label me with that title . As i said earlier i have bought lots of GM cars/trucks built in the USA and i have no problem with that whatsoever . In fact i'm ALWAYS telling family and friends to buy General Motors Vehicles , i could care less that the Malibu/Cruze is American built . I know they are great cars and built with pride by American workers who i have the utmost respect for

And just to update you , we lost our Truck Plant here 3 yrs ago that was the highest rated Truck Assembly Plant in North America . Three shifts of workers were lost along with the supplier plants . Approx 10 yrs ago we lost our Battery Plant ( 2 shifts ) , 8 yrs ago we lost our North Oshawa Stamping and Plastics Plant ( 3 shifts ) In 2013 we lose the Impala to Mich and with it another car plant !! So PLEASE don't tell me i'm irate , i understand things change in this business ..i get it !!, we will get back on our feet and build 100% quality Camaros and Impala's for all of our North American and World customers and with PRIDE . You have a great day

Mike

I feel disrespected a bit when people talk about how its disappointing the camaro wasn't built in the US but Canada.. Sure the US does need jobs but so do so many other countries including Canada, the fact the Camaro was built at all and by skilled workers is a blessing.

Maybe im wrong here but the whole American built vs Canadian built thing just seems like the usual fanboy crap.

Hey Super60,

Tell your Oshawa people that their fine machine can handle this prairie boy driving down dirt roads pretending that Bo Duke drove a Chevy!

Awesome car, and great work by you guys!

Global company needs to build cars and add jobs across the globe. Not just the USA. Think about it. The only reason my sister bought a camry (and ended up getting rid of the pos(long story)) is because it was built by americans in her town. That is the only reason. Now, think about it in the reverse. A person from another country buys a GM vehicle only because it brought money to their country. GM already has a good relationship with customers here in America, why not push to have the same thing in another country.

At least, that is one of the many ways I can understand why GM does some of the things they do.

I have absolutely no problem with the camaro being built in Canada. They do great work!

You should be happy it's not made in Kansas or Mississippi where the Toyotas and Nissans are made. My Nissan steering pump started leaking at 9K miles and my toyota water pump started leaking at 10k miles all due to poor assembly. Those cars have assembly issues due to lack of skills workers.
I have to agree here. The pride America had during the 40's-60's has all went away. To bring jobs back to America we need to get our ass's off welfare and start showing some pride in the the things we make and the job we do.

And I have no problem with my car built in Canada, at this time it is probably the best place it could of been built.
