I'm jealous...I want to do this...but don't want to get pulled over. Cops just love to pull people over for tints. had to remove my front tint...only cost $20 for the fix it ticket.

No stickers of any kind are on my windshield, we don't have inspections in WI (I think Milwaukee might have something with emission standards or just special gas down there)

Wow, never heard of that before. Surprised that there's state(s) that don't do inspections.

I do think 20% is too dark for a windshield though... for both visibility and the risk of getting unwanted attention.

Either way it looks good and who cares, it's your car

Should you ever have an accident.... more fuel on the fire.

We stopped having inspections over 20 years ago. We used to have emissions stickers on the windshield, but now we just have a certificate that stays in the glove box. Nothing on the windshield now.

In Alabama, it is required for you to have windscreen wipers on your vehicle, but you are not required to have a windscreen.

I was down your way and an Anne Arundle cop pulled a u-turn thru the grass median on 97 to pull me over (no tint at all) but he noticed the no front plate and just couldn't resist. I give you about a week before the tint draws the unwanted attention of the cops.

Here is the Maryland tint law:

Maryland Window Tint Law

Maryland Tint Law Enacted: 1995
HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN MARYLAND?

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In Maryland, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 5 inches of the windshield.
Front*Side*Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back*Side*Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear*Window Must allow more than 35% of light in.
*
HOW REFLECTIVE CAN THE TINT BE IN MARYLAND?

Similar to sunglass lenses, some tinting film contain metallic elements that help in reflecting incoming light and reducing the glare and heat generated by visible light.

Front*Side*Windows No reference to reflectivity in the current law.
Back*Side*Windows No reference to reflectivity in the current law.
*
OTHER MARYLAND RULES AND REGULATIONS

Restricted*Colors The tint color(s) of RED AMBER YELLOW are not legal by state law.
Side*Mirrors Dual side mirrors are required if back window is tinted.
Certificate*Requirements Manufacturers of film need to certify the film they sell in the state. Ask your dealer if they are using ceritified film.
Sticker*Requirements The sticker to identify legal tinting is required between the film & glass on each tinted window.
Medical*Exemption State allows medical exemptions for special tint. For more details about the specific terms of the exemption, consult your state law.
