I imagine it would look something like the Sunoco-inspired GS Racecar. That one has the dovetail without ground effects. Then again it's slammed down so hard that it still gives a bad representation of how the dovetail would look on an otherwise bone stock car.

It will have the high mounted stop light integrated into the spoiler also...

That might be a dealbreaker for me. I hope they integrate it tastefully or low-profile.

Well, by that logic the Dale Jr. car is just as bad a specimen to refer to since the dovetail it dons doesn't have a high-mounted stop light either. Anyway, that might be a dealbreaker for me. I hope they integrate it tastefully or low-profile.

I haven't seen any pictures of it with the light... all I know is on the description it says it has one.. Maybe soon they will show an actual picture.. I may just go spoilerless...

I like the Dovetail spoiler in the pictures, I just would like to see one on a real car before I make my final decision... I know I can add it later myself and have a Vinyl Shop make me some stripes to go over it like I want. So when (or if) it gets put on is not a real issue with me.

This is more like the 78 tail than the 1st gen. 78 was first year without steel bumper and this car has similar front end and.. now a tail.

I need a retro tail!!

This is almost March 16th!!

The first time I saw the Dove tail, I knew I had to have it. I'm sure GM has down force numbers, as I read that the front splitter was designed in their wind tunnel. So it would'nt be farfetched that the tail also has some hours in the tunnel.

I have not seen any downforce numbers, etc. for the dovetail though they may exist somewhere. I can tell you that the first gen. chin and tail spoilers were shown to be effective and produced change even at highway speeds (so I would certainly expect the dovetail to be pretty effective). I don't have the link handy but the first gen. spoilers are covered by an article somewhere on the web.

The part number for the Dovetail and the Highwing seem to be the same.
Anyone know for sure?
Anyone know yet when Dovetail will be available?
Posting this to find out if there is anything new on this.
Thanks
