Question Isolator?

My car is in the shop getting fixed from being rear-ended and they said they have to replace the "isolator".

Does anyone know what that would be? Would that be the actual steel structure that is bolted on the rear of the body?

Thanks!

Geoff

I thought an isolator protected a battery from being drained on start up??
Don't even know if the Camaro has one, but the battery is in the trunk........
Call the shop and ask them what the isolator does?????

No...none of my suspension parts were damaged in the accident.
