Unhappy sad realization..

Already installed intake and love it, but now just realized i can no longer mod my car to gain HP...all other options i can think of require a tune, which in turn voids my warranty

Are there any other bolt on mods that can be done without tuning? i was really looking forward to some LT headers, but then found out those require tuning as well

catback exhaust. although, you won't really be gaining much HP, your car will sound better.

This is true. Always amazed at how many are willing to void a brand new car's warranty.

Shorty headers with high flow cats and a 3" catback ... It will give a nice sound and pick up a few ponies as well.

a lot of people that void their warranty do so because they can afford not to have it. either that, or they aren't that bright. lol Gotta pay to play!

Because keeping a car stock for 5 years is hard to do. I have a hard time keeping a car stock for 1 month after purchasing it. And a lot of guys won't even own their cars in 5 years. They will have sold it or traded it on a new model by then.

And if something does breaks, I'll replace it with something better/stronger, etc.

But I do understand the need to keep a full warranty for many.

$600? I see them for $150-200 in the Bolt-Ons & Tunes section

$149.00 with a deposit that you get back when they recieve your stock TB.

Ported TB will not make a big difference in performance (5 rwhp on average). But you will get improved throttle response.

cant seem to find the one i found for 600, but i remember it being polished and painted... maybe i incorporated the core charge and thats why i got the 600 price in my head..

but other than a ported TB, is there anything else that doesnt require tuning? and if not, is it true that the dealers can tell if youve tuned your car even if you re-flash it?
