The Hit and Run Thread

I do not know if someone has started a thread like this; I did not see one after a quick search. On 03 July 2011, I went to Nashville to see a concert. When I returned to my car in the parking lot, I discovered I was the victim of a hit and run. Driver's side door and rear quarter panel are toast. I was parked next to a late model, black Dodge Challenger, and the paint on my car was black. The lot was $12 for all night, not an in and out lot. No car was parked next to me when I returned, so the odds are that the Chally driver is the culprit.

If anyone in Nashville sees a black Dodge Challenger wearing a yellow accent stripe, please note the plate number and report it to the police as a possible hit and run and let me know.

I would not be so pissed if the other driver had the courtesy of leaving his info on my wiper. I hate people.

Post your Hit and Run tales below!!

(victims only, though I suppose anyone who has committed a hit and run probably would not have the stones to fess up, since they did not have the stones to leave a note at the original scene)

They must of been high as a kite to do that much damage. I took my 08 Impala to the U2 concert. NO WAY IN HELL I WOULD TAKE THE CAMARO.

Good luck. Check the body shops. They have to have some heavy damage too,

I feel for you. We just had someone smash the drivers side door on another car while it was parked on our street.

I had someone hit a Toyota I used to own but I actually gave the guy a pass because he left his name and number. And as I told him I was just so grateful to know what happened I didn't care about making him pay for an accident.

Not knowing bugs me more than anything.

Damage Pics

Hard to see on the RY...even in daylight. I think that it calls for replacing the door and the rear q-panel.

That sucks!!! Looks like they cut too sharp when backing out of the space and rubbed your door and fender with their front bumper. Should be a pretty good yellow streak on their car too. He/she had to have known they did it, so I really hope you find out who and can make them fix it!

I bet you were thinking, I'll park next to this Challenger because he or she will be careful getting in and out of there car. I would say alcohol related too. Sorry that happened to you, hope that you can get you car fixed like new.

Hit and runs are the lowest of the low...years ago a city bus detoured down my mother's one way street and when turning crushed the entire passenger side of her 4 year old mercedes and kept going. The doors were so smashed up they wouldn't even open...

Been there, done that.... Mine was passenger door and front quarter...

$2K damage. Luckily, for hit and run, my insurance considers it "uninsured motorist" so my deductible was reduced. Hopefully yours will be too.
Good luck with the repairs! Mine was good as new in a week, thanks to a GREAT body shop...

worst thing is i saw the whole thing happen as i was walking from the bestbuy store and was only about 50 feet away. I was able to get his license plate as they speed off in a piece of sh** 1990 honda. Police got his address yet they wont do a damn thing and wont give me his address (and this was 3 months ago)
