Good observation.

I agree, That's not a reason you should bring out a gun. Nobody has to die over a parking space or car for that matter.

Some people have no respect for other peoples cars. Sometimes I have to fight myself not to ding the other persons car.

I will be keeping copies of Mickey just in case I need it.

The wife and I went to dinner I found the end spot next to a building in the last row of the parking lot and this FN JO parked so close to our G8 the white paint line was under the passenger side of the Mercedes.
I really wanted to get up on the hood of his car and jump up and down on it which would have brought me a lot of joy !! But my wife talked me out it and she climbed over the console to back our car out.

Agreed, he parked a little too far to the right... but he said there was a bollard blocking the other side.
These Camaro doors are fairly long and require a good amount of space to get out. The truck probably needed a larger spot, but too lazy or just had an attitude to park like that. When I park my truck, I think about the others around me.

Yes... I would have parked on the top deck or 1/4 mile away and walked to the mall.... but that's just me.

Ummm..... As far as pulling the firearm... HE WAS JOKING! OP just returned from war. Do you really think a douchbag in a parking lot is going to set him off. I would bet he has a better grasp on heated situations than most of the rest of us. Also, be active duty... Yes he most likely CAN carry a weapon in all 50 states.

Just sayin!

And the truck in front of the Camaro looks to be further to the left to me as well.

I believe they call this a FAIL.

The lot looks pretty packed, maybe he'd just gotten there and that was the only spot he could find. The truck parked legally and properly - looks like right down the center - so I fail to see how this was his problem. Maybe he assumed the guy in the Camaro was there alone so parking there wouldn't be a problem. That's more reasonable than parking a foot too far to the right and expecting everyone else to exacerbate your bad parking down the line just because you have long doors. And the OP said he got there early when the lot was more empty - if so, and if that spot had an obstruction to the left, then he ought to have found a different spot himself, and parked correctly.

Maybe it's just having grown up in NJ, a may-issue state where the 2nd Amendment only exists for police, celebrities/the wealthy, and private citizens with very good connections, but I think we ought to be able to expect a bit more discretion from our government employees who carry a federal concealed carry permit - especially one which might allow them to go armed into any state. My private citizen one sure doesn't allow that. I appreciate his service, but it's not funny no matter who you are. If I said that in front of a cop I'd probably have my permit taken away from me, at minimum.

You guys need to relax. The gun comment was just a joke. No way he was going for his gun for something ridiculous like this and with his kids with him.

It does look like he didn't park right though and the SUV is technically inside the white lines so you can't be too mad.

I do this same thing! But I also park 1/2 mile away from where I am going in hopes that no one parks next to me. Inevitably they do, but if I ever run the risk of parking in a close spot, than I accept that I may get dinged by another car.

Re: The OP - If you park in a parking garage at the mall, regardless of what time of day it is, you will run the risk of getting dinged, or parked this close to. Period.

Just to give you an idea: my camaro is my DD and I work in a huge office building. Everyday I park across the street, rain or shine, even if I am running late, at the far end of a hotel, in hopes to not get dinged on a daily basis. My co-workers think I am nuts, but I had a new jeep previously and in less than a month of parking at my work building, I had door dings out the wazoo.

Not gonna risk it on this girl.
