Definitely depends on driver with "perfect" shifting and only in 1/4 mile
One mistake on the manual and the auto blows them away.

But, when you go above 155 mph, OnStar is called, and your warranty is voided. Can HPTuners block that?!

the reason for the 155mph limit (not like you're gonna go faster than that on the roads anyway) is because of the speed rating on the factory tires
Hmmm I wounder if there are Michellin Pilot Sport PS2 tires sizes for the camaro??

Really good Question.

With the Auto, if you put it in M all 8 cylinders run all time, Right.

So what would the MPG be when running the Auto in Manual Mode all the time?

I'm well aware of why it is limited, but I justthink from the factory they could've done better! But, thank you for explaining anyways good looks! I will be tapping into this computer adn bringing it up and I'll be modding this baby out with ecu programmers, exhaust, headers, intake, and maybe one day a sweet whistling S/C

Where do you plan on running it past 155 mph on the stock tires anyway?

I am very disappointed at the 155 MPH limiter.

Its not that I will be able to run faster than 155, but the fact that the car is limited. I always laughed at all the BMW's, Mercedes that were limited to 155 because my 1998 Z28 could technically go faster.

If the 1998 Z28's could go 162 with the stock Z tires, why can't this car go faster with Z tires? (Oh, wait it weighs more than the older cars)...

I feel like GM gave in to regulatory pressures rather than build a car that was built to perform!

Drive the car before you judge.

But again, if you're never going that fast, does it actually change anything? I would understand being upset if it were limited to 100 because it can top that in the 1/4 mile. Plus, stability becomes an issue at those speeds. But, remove the limiter and they should pass 180 mph given enough open road.
